The invention relates to a device or tool (1) for gripping a liner in order to carry out a method of removing same from, and installing same in, the shell of a mill, which comprises a rigid structure or frame (2) forming a support for containing the components needed for the operation thereof, a coupling element (6) that allows the device to be secured or disposed on at least one end of a manipulation device, such as a robotic manipulator, comprises at least one claw or pincer (7) for holding at least one bolt by the head, the tool being designed to allow the adjustment of the relative position thereof in order to align the pincers to the positions of the holes of each liner, the at least one pincer (7) having a configuration allowing said claws to open and close so as to adjust the size thereof to the size of the bolt being gripped, wherein the at least one pincer or claw (7) has at least one sensor, thereby enabling mill liners to be installed and removed, the tool being based on the fastening elements that hold the liners in position.
Wear-resistant rubber compositions, systems, and methods
This disclosure relates to wear-resistant rubber compositions, such as those, for example, comprising at least one hydroxy-terminated polybutadiene, at least one natural rubber, at least one polymerization accelerant; at least one sulfur; and at least one polybutadiene, wherein the wear-resistant rubber composition may have an effective cross-linking density of at least about 30×10.sup.−5 moles/cm.sup.3.
Interlocking Wear-Resistant Panel System
A wear panel for mining and materials handling applications is provided. The wear panel includes a housing matrix (1) with a top surface (2), a bottom surface (3) opposite the top surface (2) and at least one cavity (4) with cavity walls (5). The cavity (4) extends through the top surface (2) and the bottom surface (3). The wear panel also includes at least one wear-resistant member (6) with a preformed shape. The at least one wear-resistant member (6) has a top surface (7) and a bottom surface (8) opposite the top surface (7). The wear-resistant members (6) are disposed in the cavity (4) and are locked into place by their preformed shape and the cavity walls (5).
LINER SYSTEM FOR A MILL SHELL
A liner system for installation in a rotatable mill shell having an inner side and an opposed outer side, the liner system including one or more lifter bars. The lifter bar includes a body, a channel plate secured to the body and defining a channel axis, including one or more lateral extensions extending transversely from the central portion in relation to the channel axis, and one or more insert elements positioned between the lateral extension and the inner side of the mill shell, for resisting outward movement of the lateral extension toward the inner side. The liner system also includes one or more attachment assemblies, each including a bolt, for securing the lifter bar to the mill shell. The insert elements are configured to maintain the bolt in a predetermined position in which an axis of the bolt is aligned with the channel axis.
LIFTER BAR, METHOD FOR MAKING A LIFTER BAR, METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A LIFTER BAR AND A GRINDING MILL
This relates a lifter bar, method for making a lifter bar, a method for assembling a lifter bar and a grinding mill for ore grinding. The lifter bar comprises a lifter bar body having an outer surface conforming the outer surface of the lifter bar, and a fixing element for connecting the lifter bar to the shell of the grinding mill. The lifter bar body further comprises a first portion and a second portion forming a continuous lifter bar body. The fixing element is embedded to the first portion such that it forms part of the fixing surface of the lifter bar. The second portion is made of polyurethane and forming 35-85% of the volume of the lifter bar.
SHELL PLATE, METHOD FOR MAKING A SHELL PLATE AND A GRINDING MILL
The invention relates to a shell plate, to method for making a shell plate and to a grinding mill for ore grinding. The shell plate is mountable to a shell of a grinding mill for grinding ore, said shell plate comprises a shell plate body having a first portion comprising a fixing surface for fixing the shell plate body to the shell and a second portion comprising a wear surface facing toward interior of the grinding mill, said first portion and said second portion forming a continuous shell plate body, the second portion comprises polyurethane such that the wear surface is made of polyurethane.
Method and system for component wear monitoring
A monitoring system includes a fastener. A sensor is coupled to the fastener. A circuit board is electrically coupled to the sensor. An antenna electrically coupled to the circuit board.
Liner assembly for ore grinding mill
The present invention provides a system and method for more efficient utilization of comminution mills. Sensors are provided in the liners placed within the mill shell. The sensors may include RFID tags, liner wear profile sensors (e.g., such as an ultrasonic sensor), an inertial sensor (preferably included both an inclinometer and an accelerometer, and an acoustic sensor, among others. When the liners are installed in the shell, the RFID tag is used to register the location of the liner within the shell. In operation, the information provided by the sensors is collected by a data transmission unit and sent by transmitter over the air to a computer having an antenna and receiver for such data. The data is correlated and the data is reviewable in real time while the mill is in running.
