Cutting Blade Assembly
A cutting blade assembly including a cutting plate, a plurality of cutting slots formed in the cutting plate, and a cutting hub. The cutting plate includes an axial face and a central opening. The plurality of cutting slots are circumferentially spaced about the central opening. Each of the plurality of cutting slots intersects the axial face and defines a respective axial cutting edge at an intersection of each of plurality of cutting slots and the axial face. Each of the plurality of cutting slots defines a base surface that is nonparallel to the axial face. The cutting hub is positioned in the central opening and has a cutting arm adjacent to the axial face.
High-throughput milling device comprising an adjustable milling operation
A milling device for implementing a milling operation including a milling unit having a body including a milling chamber that can be filled with a material to be milled, a rotor mounted so as to be able to rotate around a shaft in the body, a screen, and a drive unit controlling the movements of the rotor with respect to the screen during the milling operation. The drive unit is designed to impart an oscillating movement to the rotor around the shaft, the oscillation angle being variable during the milling operation. The milling chamber is configured to direct the product to be milled in a direction substantially parallel to the rotation shaft of the rotor.
FOOD WASTE DISPOSER WITH GRATING RING
Grinding mechanisms for food waste disposers, and food waste disposers having grinding mechanisms are disclosed herein. The grinding mechanisms include a stationary grinding ring that includes a plurality of grater teeth, and a rotating shredder plate that includes at least one lug. The at least one lug may have at least a portion that is movable with respect to the top surface of the rotating shredder plate, or may be fin shaped.
Apparatus, method and system for wet or dry processing of plant material
An apparatus, method and system for wet or dry processing of plant material is provided. The apparatus has an enclosure attached to a frame. The apparatus includes: (a) a cylindrical rotatable drum for receiving the plant material, the rotatable drum having a plurality of slots; (b) a cutting module for cutting portions of the plant material that pass through one or more said slots; and (c) a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a liquid within the enclosure. The apparatus may further include a controller having a processing unit and a memory, the memory containing instructions for directing the processing unit. The controller may be operable to selectably control operations of the rotatable drum, the cutting module, and the plurality of nozzles. The cutting module may include a plurality of cutting reels. The cutting module and the rotatable drum may be coaxial. The cutting module may include a plurality of blades rotatable about the drum.
Carton reducer/bag opener device
A package reducing device includes a hopper having lap over rings, first and second main shafts which traverse the hopper, first and second pipe shafts are secured to the main shafts, where the ends of the pipe shafts are positioned interior to the lap over rings. First and second rings extend from the pipe shafts having recessed openings to position a fastener interior to the surface of the rings. Tooth plates having teeth are attached to the rings. A first motor rotates the one pipe shaft at a first rate and a second motor rotates another pipe shaft at a slower rate of rotation. The pipe shafts are rotated in an inboard direction, and the motors include variable frequency drives. The teeth reduce the size of packaging and food transported inside of the packaging during use of the invention.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE DISSOCIATION OF TISSUE
The invention relates to a device and a method for the dissociation of tissue. In one embodiment, the device has at least one dissociation unit, for receiving a tissue sample, which is disposed at least partially in a pot-shaped cell strainer. In addition, the invention relates, in one embodiment, to a device and a method for the dissociation of tissue, the tissue being dissociated by a grinder having mutually movable rows of teeth which cut the tissue when moving past each other in the one direction and grind the tissue when moving past each other in the opposite direction.
High efficiency conical mills
Screens for conical mills and an improved gearbox and housing for such conical mills are shown and described. The screens are frusto-conically-shaped and include a tapered sidewall with a plurality of openings in the sidewall that may be of uniform size. Each opening is separated from adjacent openings by spacing distances which are shorter at the top of the tapered sidewall and longer at the bottom of the tapered sidewall to thereby reduce the residence time of the powder being milled at the top of the tapered sidewall and to increase the residence time of the powder being milled at the bottom of the tapered sidewall.
Comminution device for laboratory operation, and damper for a comminution device
A comminution device for laboratory operation is described. More specifically, a laboratory mill, particularly a centrifugal mill, is provided that includes a milling tool arranged in a milling chamber, a housing assembly, and a milling material channel running through the housing assembly. The milling material channel opens into the milling chamber and is configured to supply, for supplying milling material to the milling chamber or to discharge milled material from the milling chamber. The milling material channel may be open to the environment and/or can be opened for successively supplying milling material to the milling chamber during the milling operation. At least one system for passively reducing noise emissions is provided and situated in the region of the milling material channel.
Grinding device for a high grinding rate and for a variable distribution of ground particle sizes
A grinding device including a rotor, mounted in rotational manner around an axle and having a plurality of blades extending radially relative to the axle. A sieve has a plurality of openings, with the sieve being mounted around the rotor so as to turn around the axle in the direction opposite the direction of rotation of the rotor. The rotor and sieve each has a height extending parallel to the axle and a width extending perpendicular to the axle wherein the width is between 1 mm and 20 mm. The rotation of the rotor and of the sieve is adjustable so as to reach a difference in circumferential speed between the rotor and the sieve between 100 m/s and 400 m/s, so as to reduce the average initial size of the crushed matter by a factor of 5 to 20.
