APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR BULK STRUCTURAL MODIFICATION OF METALLIC MATERIALS AT REDUCED TEMPERATURES
An apparatus and method of mechanical milling and grinding of various materials at temperatures ranging from sub-ambient conditions to well-below their ductile-brittle transition temperature (DBTT) are presented. In one embodiment the present invention entails the design of a cryogenic milling chamber compatible with horizontal high-energy mills. The new design and configuration of the milling vessel provides robust and efficient cryomilling of various materials with no contact between the cryogen and the powders. Some embodiments of the invention improve the heat removal rate from the non-uniform heat load generated by the impact energy deposited into the chamber wall by the milling media.

Crusher
A crusher includes a blade assembly and a drive assembly. The blade assembly includes a first blade and a second blade. The drive assembly is respectively connected with the first blade and the second blade, and is configured to drive the first blade and the second blade to rotate. The first blade is configured to disperse and perform primary cutting of the materials. The second blade is configured to perform secondary cutting of the materials. The first blade makes the materials fully disperse, so that the second blade can fully cut the materials. In addition, the first blade initially cuts the materials, so that the formed fragments can achieve a better fertilization effect.
System and method for replacing a rotor in a machine for grinding and chipping
A horizontal grinder chipper with interchangeable rotors which allows for rapid changing of said interchangeable rotors. Where the interchangeable rotors each are in the form of a cassette which can be easily inserted into and in between a first frame portion 1302 and a second frame portion 1303. A hydraulically actuated pivoting clamshell cassette covering upper portion 920 configured to pivot to an open orientation for removal of a first rotor cassette and for insertion of a second rotor cassette.
FOOD WASTE DISPOSER NOISE REDUCTION USING ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL
A food waste disposer system (300) has active noise control of food waste disposer noise that is generated by the food waste disposer (302) when a motor of the food waste disposer (302) is running. The food waste disposer (302) has a food conveying section that conveys food waste to a grinding section. The grinding section has a rotatable shredder plate that is rotated by a motor of a motor section. Active noise sound waves (310) are radiated into an area (313) where the food waste disposer noise is to be controlled at an amplitude and frequency to at least cancel or mask the food waste disposer noise.

QUICK CHANGE CASSETTE SHREDDER
A shredding module of a shredding apparatus is disclosed. The shredding module includes a shredder cassette receiver and a shredder cassette received within the shredder cassette receiver. The shredding cassette includes two shredding shafts arranged in parallel and rotatable about respective rotation axes, and two sets of fingers that cooperate with the two shredding shafts to shred material. The shredder cassette is slidably movable in an axial direction of the respective rotation axes into and out of the shredder cassette receiver.
SHREDDER LUBRICATION SYSTEM
A shredder cassette of a shredder lubrication is disclosed. The shredder cassette includes a cassette housing and at least two shredding shafts arranged in parallel and rotatably mounted in the cassette housing. A first set of fingers are arranged between the cassette housing and a first shredding shaft, and a second set of fingers are arranged between the cassette housing and a second shredding shaft. At least one of the first set of fingers and the second set of fingers includes finger lubricating channels for lubricating the at least two shredding shafts.
MODULAR SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING A PLURALITY OF CRUSHING AND GRINDING PROCESSES
A modular system for performing a plurality of crushing and grinding processes, including: a plurality of interchangeable milling heads, each interchangeable milling head having a milling mechanism configured to perform one of the plurality of crushing and grinding processes when driven; a driving unit including a driving motor having a range of motor characteristics; and a connecting unit configured to functionally connect one of the interchangeable milling heads to the driving motor such that, when connected, the one of the plurality of interchangeable milling heads can perform the one of the plurality of crushing and grinding processes. Each of the plurality of interchangeable milling heads further includes an adaptor unit configured to connect the milling head to the connecting unit and for converting the range of motor characteristics of the driving motor into the milling driving characteristics of the connected interchangeable milling heads.
DRIP-STOP ATTACHMENT FOR A FOOD PROCESSING DEVICE
An attachment (60) for a spout (140) of a food processing apparatus (10), including a housing (70) with a liquid inlet (80), a front face (160), and a liquid outlet (100). The housing defines a posterior cavity (110) that removably receives the spout and position the liquid inlet next to the spout. The attachment also includes a drip-stop flap (150) which is attached to and covers the front face of the housing. The drip-stop flap reversibly pivots about a horizontal pivot axis between a closed position where the liquid outlet is blocked by a sealing element on the flap, and an open position where the liquid outlet is exposed.
