A separator for separating solid particles from a processing gas stream that has been fed repeatedly through a work machine, wherein the separator includes a processing gas inlet through which particle-laden processing gas emitted from the work machine is fed into the separator, and a filterless separator element to reduce the particle content of the processing gas and a processing gas outlet to discharge the processing gas with its reduced particle content to the work machine, the separator including a secondary stream filter, which filters a smaller portion of the processing gas, and a secondary outlet, connected thereto, which ejects the filtered secondary stream of processing gas.

The apparatus further includes a tunnel that has a first end coupled to the outlet, and a second end that includes an attachment mechanism configured to releasably secure a garbage bag. In certain embodiments, the gathering bin has a floor configured to contact the ground, and a canopy above the floor. In certain embodiments, the canopy is supported by flexible and removable rods, thereby allowing the apparatus to be collapsed and stored when not in use. A corresponding method is also disclosed.

The air jets are operative to suspend material particles using the Coanda Effect. Other particles moved by the air jets bounce off ricochet bars (74) and impact suspended particles so as to break and reduce the particles to a suitable size to pass through a screen (110) to an outlet opening (42).

A food recycler can include a case having a case volume between 8.79 liters and 35 liters, a control system, a user interface in electrical communication with the control system, and a bucket being configured with a bucket volume, wherein a ratio of the bucket volume to the case volume is between 0.0717 and 0.2857. The recycler can include a motor in communication with the control system, the motor being configured adjacent at least in part to the bucket, a gearbox configured below the bucket and in mechanical communication with the motor, a filter system having at least one filter and configured to receive air from a top portion of the bucket and a drying component configured to remove water from waste food items.

Embodiments disclosed herein provide an organic matter processing apparatus and method for the use thereof to convert organic matter into a ground and desiccated product. This can be accomplished using a bucket assembly that can grind, paddle, and heat organic matter contained therein. An algorithm is used to control the conversion of organic input to organic output by progressing through processing states based, in part, on time windows, runtimes, and sensor inputs.

A planetary roller mill for processing a feed material includes a vessel with a grinding ring having an opening therethrough and a first area. The grinding ring is in sealing engagement with the inside surface of the vessel assembly. At least two non-circular support plates are secured to a rotatable shaft. Each plate has an axially facing surface. A plurality of rollers rotatably are mounted to and positioned between the two support plates. Each of the plurality of rollers are in grinding communication with the grinding surface. The planetary roller mill includes an air supply system having an outlet in communication with the opening in the grinding ring. Areas of the two support plates are of magnitudes which configure a flow area through the opening of at least 30 percent of the first area to provide a predetermined quantity of heated air to remove moisture from the feed material in the grinding assembly.
