Apparatus and method for deconstructing mattresses
A method and apparatus for deconstructing a mattress of the type having steel coil springs held within fabric pockets. The apparatus includes a frame and an opener mechanism mounted to the frame and operable for opening a plurality of fabric pockets at a first end thereof to create an opening in the first end of the fabric pockets and expose the steel coil springs contained therewithin. A gripper mechanism is provided for gripping the plurality of fabric pockets at a second end thereof, opposite the first end. An extractor mechanism is mounted to the frame for extracting the steel coil springs from the fabric pockets through the openings formed in the first end of the fabric pockets.
SHREDDER DUST PROCESSING METHOD AND PROCESSING DEVICE FOR SAME
A shredder dust treatment method is provided wherein non-metal dust which is further pulverized into a small particle size in a pulverizing step S10 through a crushing step S1 of crushing wastes such as waste automobiles, waste home appliances, and waste office furniture into a predetermined size, an iron component separation and collection step S3 of separating and collecting an iron component, a non-ferrous component separation and collection step S4 of separating and collecting a non-ferrous component, a metal component separation and collection step S5 of sorting a metal component, wind power sorting steps S2, S6, S8, and S9 of sorting floating fibrous dust and a settled crushed material by wind power, and a shredding step S7 of shredding the settled crushed material into a predetermined size is separated into metal scraps such as copper, aluminum, and iron, fibrous dust, and particulate dust in a separating step S11.
Method and system for battery detection in recycling facilities
Methods for detecting electronics amongst a plurality of recycling materials.

Method and System for Facilitating Green Screening, Classification, and Adsorption of Target Elements from a Mixture
The method of the present invention receives a mixture. The method then separates clay and metal within in the mixture. The method then treats pollutants or toxins within in the mixture with magnetic beads. The method then treats the pollutants or toxins using nano-bubbles generated by a 3-in-1 bubble generator. Further, the method screens and classifies the tiny particles within in the mixture based on magnetic separation. Next the method screens and classifies the tiny particles within in the mixture based on gravity separation. The gravity separation includes an anti-leakage net underneath the grinding system. The anti-leakage net avoids loss and collects and resets the leakage into a feeding port connected to the gravitational device. Furthermore, the method screens and classifies the tiny particles within in the mixture based on floatation. Finally, the method collects the target element and rare earth elements (REE).
System and process for removing particulate from a coal fired power waste stream
A system and process for closed loop system for removing particulate from a coal fired power wash water waste stream comprising a submerged flight conveyor for receiving used wash water, a bleed line for diverting wash water from the submerged flight conveyor, a filter for removing particulate from the diverter wash water, and pumps to recirculate the wash water on a loop through the system.
Aluminum dust collection and compacting method
A method of forming a compact includes removing material from a workpiece, transferring metallic dust released during the material removal into a conduit, operating a plurality of slide gates to selectively control movement of the dust from the conduit to either one of a primary collector and a back-up collector, drawing the dust through the conduit to a compactor, and compacting the dust in the compactor.
Product having calcified egg shell particles having diameter of 3 microns or less
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for processing waste egg shells into (i) a first product including calcified egg shell particles having diameters of 3μ or less, and (ii) a second product including calcified egg shell particles having diameters in a range from about 3μ to about 7μ. The first product may be used as a CaCO.sub.3 substitute for paint compositions and plastics compositions. The second product may be used as a CaCO.sub.3 blasting media substitute for use with abrasive blasting equipment.
METAL RECOVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method and apparatus to reclaim metals from scrap material such as automobile shredder residue (ASR) that, after separating out light density components, separates out friable material such as rock and glass by crushing and screening operations to generate a high metal content product.
SYSTEMS FOR SEPARATING COPPER FROM SHREDDER RESIDUE
Systems and methods for separating materials and recovery of valuable copper from shredded end-of-life vehicles and appliances are disclosed. Shredded matter, or ASR, is sent through a series of sorters before reaching a system that separates out copper bits. The system utilizes a pair of conveyor belts; one for de-watering and removing most of the plastic and glass particles and a second below the first for separating the copper bits. The second conveyor belt has a belt with a particular tooth pattern and material softness, and is set at a slight uphill incline angle. Water is delivered from the top down the slope and the belt successfully transports mostly just copper up and over a top edge to a collection bin. A cascading series of pairs of conveyors may be used to ensure nearly complete recovery of the copper.
