The method including: a sieving step of sieving a resin powder to be processed or an inorganic powder to be processed using a sieving wire mesh having a Vickers hardness of 220 HV or more; and a magnetic separation step of removing, from a resin powder or an inorganic powder containing a metal component after the sieving step, the metal component using a magnetic separator. The apparatus including: a sieving wire mesh having a Vickers hardness of 220 HV or more; and a magnetic separator.

A heating device demagnetizes the magnets and vibration causes the magnets to separate from the portion of the article.
