SORBENT COMPOSITION FOR AN ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR
A powdery calcium-magnesium compound used as a sorbent composition in flue gas treatment, compatible with electrostatic precipitators. The calcium magnesium compound is doped with calcium nitrate or nitric acid to reduce the electrical resistivity of the particles, increasing their collection efficiency.
Electrostatic precipitator module and desulfurization system including the same
An electrostatic precipitator module and a desulfurization system are capable of easily discharging wash water from a wet electrostatic precipitator module. The electrostatic precipitator module includes an arrangement of discharge electrodes and collecting electrodes alternately disposed and spaced apart from each other, the discharge electrodes configured to be charged to a predetermined voltage for generating a corona discharge between the discharge electrodes and the collecting electrodes; and tie rods for fixing the discharge electrodes and the collecting electrodes. Each collecting electrode has a lower edge inclined downward with respect to the ground. The lower edge of each collecting electrode includes separate lower edge portions respectively inclined downward from opposite side ends of the collecting electrode and a lowermost point at which wash water is concentrated and discharged to a discharge guide installed directly under the lowermost points. The discharge guide has a width substantially smaller than the collecting electrode.
Methods and Equipment for Treatment of Odorous Gas Streams
A method for removing noxious, hazardous, toxic, mutagenic, and/or carcinogenic compounds and/or precursor compounds from a comingled gas, liquid, and/or solid stream is described. In one embodiment, the method is used to prepare the stream for feeding to an oxidizer, such as a thermal oxidizer, to reduce the amount of particulate matter discharged by the oxidizer and includes passing the stream through an ambient or chilled temperature condenser followed by an optional gas/solid separator, and one or more gas scrubbers prior to feeding to the oxidizer.
SORBENT UTILIZATION IMPROVEMENT BY SELECTIVE ASH RECIRCULATION FROM A PARTICULATE COLLECTOR
Various embodiments of a system for the removal of particulate emissions from an electric generating unit are provided, comprising: a gas producer; a primary particulate collector unit including: a primary collection hopper field each including at least one primary collection hopper, wherein each primary collection hopper includes a primary collection hopper outlet, each primary collection hopper outlet fluidically connected to a particulate discharge duct; a flue duct inlet oriented upstream of the at least one primary collection hopper field; a flue duct outlet oriented downstream of the primary collection hopper field; wherein the gas producer is fluidically connected to the primary particulate collector unit by a flue duct; and a particulate recirculation duct fluidically connected at a first end to the primary collection hopper and/or the particulate discharge duct, and fluidically connected at a second end to the flue duct upstream of the primary particulate collector unit.
FILTER ASSEMBLY WITH SALT FILTER
A filter media layer and a filter support layer are generally parallel and coextending. A frame holds the filter media layer and the filter support layer. Salt is deposited on at least one substrate in the airflow, where the substrate is at least one of the filter media layer, the filter support layer, a portion of the frame that is exposed to the airflow, or a separate receiving structure.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COLLECTING A SPECIES
Systems and methods related to the collection of a species from a gas stream are generally provided. The systems and methods described herein may allow for collection of a species such as a fluid (e.g., water) with a relatively high collection efficiency. Such systems and methods may be useful in various applications including, for example, fog collection. In some embodiments, the systems and methods enhance water collection from airborne to produce usable water. Advantageously, the methods described herein may, in some cases, incorporate ions into the gas stream such that the species present in the gas stream follows electric field lines and/or are attracted to a grounded (or charged) collector. Advantageously, the systems and methods described herein may suppress the adverse effects of natural conditions such as the velocity and direction of the wind.

Apparatus and method for particulate capture from gas streams and a method of removing soluble particulate from a gas
Disclosed is a method for the removal of soluble particulate matter from a gas stream, such as urea dust from the off-gas of a finishing section of a urea production plant. The method comprises subjecting the off-gas to at least two quenching stages an aqueous quenching liquid. The quenching liquid used in a first, upstream quench stage, is allowed to have a higher concentration of dissolved particulate matter than the quenching liquid in the second, downstream quench stage. The quenched gas is led through a particle capture zone, typically comprising one or more of a wet scrubber, a Venturi scrubber, and a wet electrostatic precipitator.
