The present disclosure relates to a tower type air purifier installed and operated outdoors to purify air pollutants such as fine dust. More particularly, the tower type air purifier is manufactured by modularizing and combining main constituent components of a main body in a tower form in order to easily separate and purify air pollutants in the air. A controller, which prepares an air purification algorithm based on air pollution measurement information, controls a blower, a mist sprayer, an ion emitter, a cleaning water injector and an adsorption brush installed in the purifier to quickly purify a large amount of suctioned air. The purifier can be operated independently or a group of purifiers can be operated through remote control according to an air purification algorithm suitable for each air pollution region and provided from a weather center.

WATER DROPLETS COLLECTION DEVICE FROM AIRFLOW USING ELECTROSTATIC SEPARATORS

There is provided a system and method for collecting water droplets from an airflow of a cooling tower (8) through condensation of water vapour using an electrostatic separator (20), wherein the electrostatic separator is a single unit electrostatic separator (20) or a multi-unit electrostatic separator. The method for water particles collection from the exhaust airflow of a cooling tower primarily comprises condensing water vapour into large water droplets. It is experimentally proved that electrostatic separation solves the problem of visible plume pollution, and blow down decreased since collected water flows back to the circulating water. Additionally, electrostatic separation results in small pressure drop of the cooling tower (8).

ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR

An electrostatic precipitator for introducing sub-millimeter sized particles into a carrier material. The carrier material has a melting point which lies above 0° C., preferably above room temperature. The electrostatic precipitator comprises a casing having an inlet for inserting a gas flow into the casing and having an outlet for guiding a gas flow out of the casing. A channel for passing the gas flow from the inlet to the outlet is provided. A discharge electrode is provided on a first side of the channel. A collecting electrode is provided at a second side of at least a part of the channel. The electrostatic precipitator applies an electric field between the discharge electrode and the collecting electrode. A receiving volume is provided with a molten material as carrier material.

Accordingly, there is an advantage in that the distribution of the ion field can be adjusted by adjusting the angle between the discharge electrode and the flow direction.
