Adjustable automated CPR positioning apparatus
A cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) positioning apparatus, having a support structure with a plurality of elements, each having a variable length, hingedly connected one to another at respective ends thereof, wherein the support structure is configured to be unfolded from a compactly folded configuration, in which the plurality of elements are arranged one against another, to an operable configuration, in which the elements are arranged end-to-end around a patient's chest; and a CPR chest compressor movably mounted to a first of the plurality of elements, wherein the CPR chest compressor is configured to be moved along the first of the plurality of elements, such that, when the support structure is in the operable configuration, the chest compressor can be positioned precisely above the patient's chest.
ADAPTIVE COMPRESSION THERAPY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems, devices and methods for providing active and/or passive compression therapy to a body part can include a compression device worn over a compression stocking. The compression device can have a pulley based drive train that is driven by a motor to tighten and loosen compression elements, such as compression straps, in a precise, rapid, and balanced manner. Sensors can be used in the compression device and/or compression stockings to provide feedback to modulate the compression treatment parameters.
Systems and methods for head up cardiopulmonary resuscitation
A method for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes elevating the heart of an individual to a first height relative to a lower body of the individual. The lower body may be in a substantially horizontal plane. The method may also include elevating the head of the individual to a second height relative to the lower body of the individual. The second height may be greater than the first height. The method may further include performing one or more of a type of CPR or a type of intrathoracic pressure regulation while elevating the heart and the head. The first height and the second height may be determined based on one or both of the type of CPR or the type of intrathoracic pressure regulation.
Mechanical chest compression device with tilt sensor
A medical device such as an external cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) device delivers chest compressions to a patient. The patient may shift and/or slide within the CPR chest compression structure if the CPR chest compression structure is tilted from the horizontal, however. A tilt module is used to sense a tilt event, report it to a user of the CPR chest compression machine, and cause the CPR chest compression machine, user, or tilt module to respond to the tilt event. Response can be pausing the CPR chest compression machine, having the user reposition the CPR chest compression machine, or the like.
CARDIOPULMONARY COMPRESSION DEVICE RECEIVING FLIP-UP LEGS
A cardio-pulmonary compression board includes a board (10) configured for a patient. A leg (20) is pivotally connected to the board, and the leg includes a free end portion having a mechanical feature (35) configured to be received in a compression device to adjustably secure the compression device at a distance from the board in an operational position. A locking mechanism (32, 42) is configured to releasably maintain the leg in the operational position, which is transverse to a plane of the board.
System and methods for adaptive body positioning during chest compressions
A system for assisting cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment of a patient includes a defibrillator system including a defibrillator communicatively coupled to a local computing device and configured to receive signals from treatment sensors, a patient support section, and a tilt adjuster coupled to the patient support section. The tilt adjuster is configured to communicatively couple with the defibrillator system, receive a control signal indicative of a target tilt angle from the local computing device, and automatically tilt the patient support section, around a transverse axis, to the target tilt angle in response to the control signal from the local computing device. The system also includes a chest compression device mount disposed on the patient support section and configured to adjustably secure a chest compression device to the patient support section.
Chest compression devices for augmented CPR
Devices and methods for CPR chest compression with active decompression.
CPR GURNEY
A mechanical chest compression device is secured to a gurney, transport stretcher or ambulance cot while engaging a patient's thorax to provide mechanical CPR during transport. The mechanical chest compression device compresses the patient's thorax against the gurney deck. The mechanical chest compression device may engage the side rails on the gurney, the gurney deck or any suitable structural elements of the gurney.
LOCKABLE HEAD UP CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION SUPPORT DEVICE
An elevation device used in the performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and after resuscitation includes a base and an upper support operably coupled to the base. The upper support is configured to incline at an angle relative to the base to elevate an individual's upper back, shoulders and head. The elevation device includes a support arm coupled with the upper support. The support arm is movable to various positions relative to the upper support and is lockable at a fixed angle relative to the upper support such that the upper support and the support arm are movable as a single unit relative to the base while the support arm maintains the angle relative to the upper support. The elevation device also includes a chest compression device coupled with the support arm. The chest compression device is configured to compress the chest.
Back plates for mechanical CPR compression
A back plate includes an upper portion, a lower surface defining a plane, a first side, a second side, a plurality of first static attachment elements configured to releasably connect to legs of the compression device, and a plurality of second static attachment elements configured to releasably connect to legs of the compression device. Each of the first and second sides can include one of the plurality of first static attachment elements and one of the plurality of second static attachment elements. The distance between one of the plurality of second static attachment elements on the first side and one of the plurality of second static attachment elements on the second side is greater than a distance between one of the plurality of first static attachment elements on the first side and one of the plurality of first static attachment elements on the second side.
