Patient Support System With Chest Compression System And Harness Assembly With Sensor System
A patient support system with chest compression system and harness assembly with sensor system. The harness assembly secures shoulders and hips of the patient on a patient support surface during transport. A chest compression system is integrated into the harness assembly in a manner that provides chest compressions to the patient while the patient is secured on the patient support surface. The tension of the harness assembly is selectively adjusted and/or a fluid bladder may be selectively expanded. A controller is in communication with the chest compression system and controls operation of the chest compression system. The sensor system is integrated into the harness assembly and in communication with the controller. The chest compression system may be removable from the harness assembly via an adapter. The chest compression system may be integrated into the patient support apparatus to secure the patient to the patient support surface while providing chest compressions.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HEAD UP CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION
A method for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes elevating the heart of an individual to a first height relative to a lower body of the individual. The lower body may be in a substantially horizontal plane. The method may also include elevating the head of the individual to a second height relative to the lower body of the individual. The second height may be greater than the first height. The method may further include performing one or more of a type of CPR or a type of intrathoracic pressure regulation while elevating the heart and the head. The first height and the second height may be determined based on one or both of the type of CPR or the type of intrathoracic pressure regulation.
Adaptive body positioning
A patient support structure for assisting cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment of a patient is described. The patient support structure includes a base frame, one or more patient support sections supported by the base frame, at least one tilt adjuster coupled to at least one of the patient support sections and configured to tilt the at least one of the patient support sections, around a transverse axis of the patient support structure, to a tilt angle, and a chest compression (CC) device mount disposed on at least one of the patient support sections and configured to adjustably secure a CC device to the patient support structure. The tilt angle may be a target tilt angle and the patient support structure may further include a processor configured to determine the target tilt angle based on at least one of sensor input and user input.
Chest Compression Devices for Augmented CPR
Devices and methods for CPR chest compression with active decompression.
Adjustable automated CPR positioning apparatus
A cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) positioning apparatus, having a support structure with a plurality of elements, each having a variable length, hingedly connected one to another at respective ends thereof, wherein the support structure is configured to be unfolded from a compactly folded configuration, in which the plurality of elements are arranged one against another, to an operable configuration, in which the elements are arranged end-to-end around a patient's chest; and a CPR chest compressor movably mounted to a first of the plurality of elements, wherein the CPR chest compressor is configured to be moved along the first of the plurality of elements, such that, when the support structure is in the operable configuration, the chest compressor can be positioned precisely above the patient's chest.
CHEST COMPRESSION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method for determining CPR induced chest compression depth using two sensors while accounting for different orientations of the two sensors.
Support devices for head up cardiopulmonary resuscitation
An elevation device used in the performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes a base and an upper support pivotably coupled to the base. The upper support is configured to elevate the individual's upper back, shoulders and head when pivoted. The upper support is expandable lengthwise. The upper support includes a neck support that is configured to support the individual's spine in a region of the individual's C7 and C8 vertebrae throughout elevation of the upper back, shoulders and head.
UNDERWATER RESCUE DEVICE
An underwater rescue device, including a cabin provided with a hatch is provided, wherein the hatch is capable to open or close the cabin to form a confined space inside the cabin; a salvage device arranged inside the cabin, comprising a rescue platform and a gripper mechanism arranged on the rescue platform, wherein the rescue platform is movable, the rescue platform is capable to rotate relative to the cabin along at least one rotational axis and is capable to lift and lower to remove the cabin, and the gripper mechanism is configured to grab a drowning person and fix the drowning person on the rescue platform; a cardiopulmonary resuscitation device arranged inside the cabin; a drainage device arranged on the cabin; and a power device arranged on an outer side of the cabin. It has a high degree of automation and can provide immediate rescue for drowning personnel.
RESPIRATION-ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS, DEVICES, OR METHODS
A respiration-assistance apparatus or method can include or use a lifting element such as to cyclically push, pull, or lift, toward a superior direction of the subject, at least one subject region during an inhalation portion of a respiration cycle of the subject. A cyclical member can couple the lifting element to a fixed reference. Abdominal or ribcage compression can be provided. A multi-action or other cam can be used, such as together with a reciprocating element. Examples can be configured for use with a wheelchair, a bed, a vacuum or suction affixation element, a wearable garment, etc.
