V-BANK FILTER
The present disclosure is directed methods and apparatus of a V-Bank filtration system capable of maintaining desired air flow rates while effectively filtering the air. These methods and apparatus charge particles and then capture those particles in a filter medium. Once captured in the filter medium, micro-organisms are exposed to high energy electric fields that may degrade and ultimately destroy the captured micro-organisms. Electric fields generated within portions of the V-Bank filter apparatus may also be contained within the portions of the filter apparatus based on exterior parts of these portions being grounded at Earth ground potential. Magnetic fields (or electro-magnetic fields) associated with the generated electric fields may also be contained within the portions of the apparatus based on the exterior parts of these portions being grounded.

Sterilization effect of the present invention is four-folded, firstly the air filter removing dusts and germs from the air before entering the device, secondly the photocatalysis produced by the photocatalyst module exposed to direct and reflected UVC light resulting in oxidation process for decomposing organic matter and various germs and rendering them harmless, thirdly UVC light rays and their multiple reflection through the mirrors for bacteria termination, and fourthly negative ions produced and added to the air to condense fine particles into larger ones for settling on the ground and thus reducing harmful pollutants in the air.

An axial cyclone air filtration apparatus integrated with a bipolar-charged agglomeration includes a pre-charge region and an axial cyclone coagulation dust separation apparatus, and the pre-charge region is arranged on an air inlet side of the axial cyclone coagulation dust separation apparatus. Suspended particles in air are charged with charges of different polarities in the pre-charge region before entering the axial cyclone coagulation dust separation apparatus. The organic combination of electric coagulation technology and axial cyclone dust separation technology improves the filtering efficiency for ultra-fine particles in air.
Air purification method based on cloud physics
This invention is directed to an air purification method capable of removing small aerosols and a wide size range of aerosols, with minimum aerosol radius smaller than 0.01 micron. The method humidifies the air in an enclosed space and produces supersaturation at a level of at least 12 percent in at least a portion of the enclosed space so that water vapor condenses on aerosols to form water droplets. The method also coalesces the water droplets formed by supersaturation using coalescence devices that can coalesce droplets with minimum radius smaller than 0.01 micron, thereby lowering the equilibrium supersaturation, enabling water droplets to grow faster, be more stable and easier to be removed compared to when coalescence is absent. The method dehumidifies the air so that the water droplets with captured aerosols are removed. Coalescence enables droplets to grow under a lower ambient supersaturation level, thus saving a considerable amount of energy.
