ION GENERATOR DEVICE

A system and method of treating air. Bipolar ionization is delivered to an airflow within a conduit from a tubeless ion generator. The ionized airflow may be delivered to a conditioned airspace by an HVAC system. In alternate applications, the airflow delivers ionized combustion air to an engine. The invention also includes a mounting assembly for positioning one or more ion generators into an airflow.

Powder purging apparatus and method

Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for purging charged powder particles from a mixture of ferromagnetic carrier particles and said powder particles. One example embodiment may include a powder purging apparatus comprising a support surface comprising a first side for supporting said carrier particles; a plurality of magnets, arranged on a second side of said support surface for generating magnetic fields at said first side to attract said carrier particles for forming a magnetic brush of said carrier particles, said magnetic fields and said support surface moveable relative to each other; an attracting surface facing said first side and spaced apart therefrom; and a field generator adapted for generating an electrical field between said attracting surface and said support surface for attracting said powder particles away from the carrier particles and towards said attracting surface, wherein said magnetic brush of carrier particles is spaced apart from said attracting surface.

An aerosol condensing system is provided. The aerosol condensing system includes a source electrode electrically connected to an electrical source that applies an electrical voltage to the source electrode, a condenser including a sink electrode to collect aerosol contained in an air stream to the sink electrode, and a duct configured to direct the aerosol to the condenser. The source electrode and the sink electrode creates an electrical field within the duct.

DUST COLLECTION SYSTEM AND DUST COLLECTION METHOD

Provided are a dust collection system and a dust collection method that make it possible to efficiently collect fine particles included in a gas. The dust collection system includes: a flow path route through which a gas flows; a droplet supply section for supplying droplets to the flow path route; an electrostatic agglomeration unit that is arranged in the flow path route downstream from the position at which droplets are supplied, forms an electric field in the flow path of the gas, electrostatically charges the droplets and fine particles included in the gas, and causes the fine particles and the droplets to collide (agglomerate); and a dust collection section t is arranged in the flow path route downstream from the electrostatic agglomeration unit and collects the droplets and fine particles.
