The present invention relates to: a device (1, 101, 151) for separating off liquid and/or particulate contaminants from a gas flow (7, 107), in which a flow path of the gas flow (7, 107) runs between at least one first electrode (9, 31, 109) acting as a counter electrode and at least one second electrode (11, 111, 51, 53, 57, 135, 135, 135, 155) acting as an emitter electrode and having an electrode end (71, 77, 90) oriented in the direction of the first electrode, and a direct-current voltage exceeding the breakdown voltage can be applied between the first electrode (9, 31, 109) and the second electrode (11, 111, 51, 53, 57, 135, 135, 135, 155) in order to form a stable low-energy plasma (41, 125), wherein the second electrode (11) extends substantially along a first axis (X) in a first direction and the first electrode (31) has at least one plateau region (33) which is arranged opposite the second electrode (11) and which extends at least regionally in a first plane running substantially perpendicular to the first direction (X); and a method for operating such a device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COLLECTING FLUID FROM A GAS STREAM
An example of a system for use in collecting fluid from a gas stream includes one or more collection panels and a frame for arranging the panel(s). Each of the collection panel(s) may comprise an emitter electrode assembly member, comprising one or more emitter electrodes, physically attached to an electrically insulated from a fluid collection member comprising one or more collection electrodes. The frame may be sized and shaped to be disposed near a gas outlet or a duct. An example of a method for collecting fluid from a gas stream includes providing the collection panel(s) disposed in a path of the gas stream; providing the gas stream; generating and maintaining a voltage at the one or more emitter electrodes of each of the collection panel(s); and collecting an amount of the fluid from the gas stream with the one or more collection panels.

The system further includes a vacuum tube fluidly coupled with the fluid conduit, and an electrostatic precipitator fluidly coupled with the fluid conduit. Additionally, the system includes a vacuum source fluidly coupled with the vacuum tube, wherein the vacuum source is operable to create a flow of fluid through the fluid conduit, the vacuum tube and the electrostatic precipitator.

Additionally, the systems and methods include an antenna coupled to the signal generator, where the antenna is configured to receive the skewed signal from the signal generator and radiate the skewed signal as electromagnetic energy proximate to the surface of the first electronic device.
