Secondary-phase separation apparatus and a method thereof

A separation tank for separating a contaminant from a multiple-phase fluid stream has a vessel formed by a top wall, a bottom wall, and a sidewall. The vessel has a plurality of nested and fluidly connected chambers therein. A fluid inlet is in fluid communication with the outermost chamber of the vessel for introducing the multiple-phase fluid stream thereinto. A fluid outlet is in fluid communication with the innermost chamber of the vessel for discharging a contaminant-removed fluid stream out of the vessel. At least one chamber of the vessel has one or more gas inlets at a lower portion thereof for injecting gas bubbles into the chamber for facilitating contaminant removal. In operation, the fluid stream travels from the fluid inlet through the plurality of chambers to the fluid outlet along an elongated helical spiral flow path.

A flotation line for treating mineral ore particles suspended in slurry is disclosed. The flotation line includes a rougher part with at least one rougher flotation cell from which overflow is arranged to flow directly into a cleaner flotation line; and a scavenger part with at least two scavenger flotation cells from which overflow is arranged to flow back into a rougher flotation cell, or into a regrinding step and then into a cleaner flotation line. Underflow from a last scavenger flotation cell is arranged to be removed from the flotation line as tailings. At least 75% of the flotation cells include a mechanical agitator including a system for introducing flotation gas into the flotation cell. At least one of the flotation cells of the flotation line includes a mechanical agitator including a microbubble generator for introducing microbubbles into the slurry.

Froth collection launder

A froth collection launder for a collection of froth from a mineral flotation includes a first and a second sidewall which are joined to form a bottom including a tip extending along the bottom, the first sidewall including a first end and the second sidewall including a second end at their open ends, at least one of the first and the second ends includes a froth overflow lip, and when the froth collection launder is positioned at its operation position a centre line is located in the middle of the first and the second end in the cross direction (x) of the froth collection launder. The tip is located between the centre line and one of the first and the second end in the cross direction (x) of the froth collection launder and the tip forms the lowest point of the froth collection launder.

Composite ozone flotation integrated device

A composite ozone flotation integrated device may include a cylinder body, an intermediate cylinder, and a central cylinder which are coaxial. The cylinder body and the center cylinder have a common bottom. The cylinder body and the intermediate cylinder have a common top. The intermediate cylinder is arranged on support channel steel between the cylinder body and the center cylinder. A top of the center cylinder is in the intermediate cylinder. The top of the center cylinder is open-mouthed. An upper part of the cylinder body is provided with a drainpipe. The top of the cylinder body is provided with an inner cylinder exhaust pipe and a slag discharge pipe. An upper part of the intermediate cylinder is provided with an outer cylinder exhaust pipe. A lower part of the center cylinder is connected to a water inlet pipe, a dissolved gas inlet pipe, and a venting and sludge-discharge pipe.

A system for recovering fat, oil and grease and removing biochemical oxygen demand and total suspended solids from brown grease or trap grease. In some cases, the system includes an integrated inlet coarse screen, primary circular zoned dissolved air and ozone flotation unit, bio-dissolved air and flotation unit, and three-phase centrifuge.

FROTH FLOTATION UNIT

A froth flotation unit for treating mineral ore particles suspended in slurry includes a tank, a gas supply for introducing flotation gas into the slurry to form froth, and a first froth collection launder including a first froth overflow lip facing towards the centre of the tank. The froth flotation unit has a pulp area of at least 15 m.sup.2 measured at a mixing area. The froth flotation unit further includes a second froth collection launder with a first froth overflow lip facing the perimeter of the flotation tank, and a froth blocker arranged between the first froth overflow lip and the second froth overflow lip. A froth flotation line, its use, and a froth flotation method are also disclosed.

A system for separating mineral particles of interest from an ore features mineral processing operations/stages/circuits configured to receive an ore, or mineral particles or concentrates formed by processing the ore, and provide processed mineral particles or concentrates, or a waste stream, for further enhanced mineral separation downstream processing; an enhanced mineral separation processor having a collection apparatus located therein, the collection apparatus having a collection surface configured with a functionalized polymer including molecules having a functional group configured to attract the mineral particles of interest to the collection surface, the enhanced mineral separation processor receive the processed mineral particles or concentrates, or the waste stream, and provide further enhanced downstream processed mineral particles or concentrates, or a further enhanced downstream processed waste stream; and a high intensity conditioning operation, stage or circuit configured to apply a high intensity form of energy to the processed mineral particles or concentrates, or the waste stream, prior to further enhanced mineral separation downstream processing by the enhanced mineral separation processor.
