Dissolved air flotation system

The present disclosure relates to a dissolved air flotation system using ambient air, and more particularly, to a dissolved air flotation system that is capable of allowing ambient air to be introduced in front of a pump to generate micro air bubbles with the water discharged from the pump, so that the ambient air may be used instead of compressed air.

Introduced here are systems for treating a wastewater stream to produce an effluent stream. A treatment system can include a sensor for measuring a characteristic of the wastewater stream and/or the effluent stream, a pump for supplying a chemical additive to the wastewater stream, and a controller for varying the flow rate of the chemical additive based on real-time analysis of measurements generated by the sensor. The characteristic could be, for example, turbidity, pH, total suspended solids (TSS), etc. Some embodiments of the treatment system further include a flow meter for measuring flow of the wastewater stream. In such embodiments, the controller may vary the flow rate of the chemical additive based on the measurements generated by the sensor and the flow meter.

Compact floatation unit

The present invention provides a method of purifying a contaminated liquid flow (A) comprising the steps of: introducing a first type of gas bubbles (8) in the contaminated liquid flow (A), the first type of gas bubbles obtained by at least partly saturating a liquid with a first gas (B), at a first pressure, followed by a lowering of the first pressure to a second pressure; introducing a second type of gas bubbles (9) to the contaminated liquid flow (A) downstream of the introduction of the first type of gas bubbles, the second type of gas bubbles formed by sparging, entrainment or attrition of a second gas (B); extracting a reject stream (C) comprising aggregates formed by the interaction of contaminants from the contaminated liquid flow (A) with both the first and the second type of gas bubbles; and obtaining a purified liquid flow (D) downstream of the introduction of the second type of gas bubbles; as well as a system and a vessel for use in such a method.

SAND REMOVAL TANK

A tank for removing sand entrained in a flow includes an inlet assembly including churn tubes configured to receive fluid provided into the tank such that sand is separated from water, gas and oil present in the flow. An oil outlet port communicates with an oil collection device, and a water outlet port communicates with a water outlet assembly.

BROWN GREASE TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL SYSTEM

A system for recovering fat, oil and grease and removing biochemical oxygen demand and total suspended solids from brown grease or trap grease. In some cases, the system includes an integrated inlet coarse screen, primary circular zoned dissolved air and ozone flotation unit, bio-dissolved air and flotation unit, and three-phase centrifuge.

Water treatment process employing dissolved air flotation to remove suspended solids

A water or wastewater treatment process that includes a dissolved air flotation process for removing suspended solids from influent water or mixed liquor. In one process, the dissolved air flotation process is carried out in the absence of adding a coagulant or a flocculant, but yet produces TSS removal efficiencies comparable to those achieved by conventional dissolved air flotation processes that employ a coagulant and a flocculant. In other processes, a coagulant and/or a flocculant is added directly to the mixing zone of a dissolved air flotation system or is added via a pressurized white water injection system. In another process, the use of a coagulant and a flocculant is useful in removing TSS and reducing the concentration of phosphorus in the water being treated.
