Centripetal separation system for cleaning particulate-pervaded air or gas

Some embodiments provide a centripetal air or gas cleaning apparatus for removing particulates from air or gas. The apparatus comprises an inlet, housing, impeller, a clean air outlet, and a particulate outlet. The housing has an inner conical surface. The impeller's rotation creates negative pressure towards the inlet that intakes particulate-pervaded air or gas into the housing. The rotation also induces an accelerating force that throws the particulate-pervaded air or gas against the outer walls of the housing. Here, the particulates separate from the air or gas, penetrate a high-pressure zone, and are ejected through the particulate outlet located in the high-pressure zone. The air or gas, having less inertia, deflects away from the high-pressure zone where it is then subjected to a centripetal force that drives the air or gas towards the center of the housing behind the impeller where it is ejected through the clean air outlet.

A plate separator for separating a substance from a substance mixture, with a separator device and an electric motor for rotary driving of the separator device. The separator device is coupled to the electric motor in a rotationally fixed manner. The electric motor is configured as an external rotor and has an inner-lying stator and an outer-lying rotor in the radial direction with respect to an axis of rotation. The separator device is fastened to the rotor and extends outward from the rotor in the radial direction. The stator is arranged, as viewed in the axial direction with respect to the axis of rotation, at least partially overlapping with the separator device.

Method and apparatus for cleaning an air flow from particles

Method and apparatus for cleaning an air flow from particles, such as bacteria and other microorganisms. According to the invention, an aerosol of liquid droplets is generated in the air flow, whereafter the liquid droplets and the air flow are mixed and the droplets and particles are centrifugally separated from the air flow.

A SEPARATOR ARRANGEMENT FOR CLEANING GAS

An arrangement for cleaning gas includes a centrifugal separator and pre-separation unit. The centrifugal separator includes a stationary casing, enclosing a separation space through which a gas flow is permitted, a gas inlet extending through the stationary casing and permitting supply of the gas from the pre-separation unit, a rotating stack of separation disks, a gas outlet and a drainage outlet for discharging separated liquid impurities. The pre-separation unit is arranged upstream of said inlet of said centrifugal separator, and it comprises a pre-separation inlet having a cross-sectional area A2 and permitting supply of the gas to be cleaned. A2 is larger than the cross-sectional area A1 of the inlet to the separation space of the centrifugal separator. A pre-separation outlet permits supply of gas from the pre-separation unit to the gas inlet of the centrifugal separator. A first chamber and a second chamber arranged downstream thereof are separated by at least one intermediate wall including at least one through-hole.

OIL SEPARATOR

A lower partition wall having a through hole vertically penetrates the lower partition wall center. A spindle is inserted into the through hole. The top surface side of the lower partition wall includes a convex portion, a groove, and a drain hole. The convex portion is concentrically disposed at the through hole periphery. The groove extends, from an outer peripheral side of the convex portion, toward the through hole on an inner peripheral side. The drain hole is outside the convex portion, vertically penetrating the lower partition wall. The separated oil circles a top surface of the lower partition wall. The oil flowing to an inner peripheral side of the lower partition wall is guided to the groove and flows into the through hole. The oil flowing to an outer peripheral side of the lower partition wall flows into the drain hole.
