A spa is provided including a frame, a shell mounted to the frame defining a basin for holding water, at least one sensor for monitoring a spa component or water condition, a communications interface including a cellular transceiver, and a battery for providing power to the at least one sensor and to the communications interface when the spa is not connected to a power source. The spa also includes a controller in electrical communication with the at least one sensor and the communications interface. The controller is configured to, while the spa is not connected to the power source, receive information from the at least one sensor, process the received information, and cause the communications interface to wirelessly transmit the processed information to a remote source or central server.

Network connectivity and remote monitoring/control of pool and spa equipment is provided by various components such as a network communication and local control subsystem installed in pool/spa equipment, and other components. Also disclosed are various control processes (“pool logic”) which can be embodied as software code installed in any of the various embodiments of the present disclosure.

The apparatuses and methods of making and using the same are directed to bathing apparatus to support an object while bathing the object with a fluid. The bathing apparatus may comprise a support assembly constituting a support structure of the apparatus; a support surface to support the object, the support surface supported by the support portion; and a fluid catch disposed on at least three sides of the support surface, the fluid catch serving as a basin for the fluid in such manner to contain the fluid separate from the support surface. A terminal product usable time management system includes a remote server and a local apparatus. The local apparatus includes a data memory storing an identifier and an encrypted usable time of the terminal product, a microprocessor used to send a start notification of a usable time management process, a product controller used to control a product load, and a wireless networking device used to communicate with the remote server to receive a new expiry date to update the usable time. The usable time management process includes: reading the encrypted usable time stored in the data memory, decrypting the encrypted usable time, decreasing the usable time per time unit, encrypting the decreased usable time, storing the encrypted and decreased usable time into the data memory, and instructing the product controller to disable some or all functions of the terminal product, if the usable time is inaccessible or decreased to zero.

A control system for a whirlpool bath installation, including a single input source wiring for connecting to an input source of high voltage AC electrical power having a nominal current rating. A plurality of high voltage output connections are connected to the input source through a corresponding plurality of switches, for power connections to a respective high voltage load devices, whose cumulative nominal current draw ratings exceeds the current rating of the input source. An electronic controller controls states of the switches in response to user input commands. The electronic controller implements an algorithm or a set of rules preventing a system utilization of the high voltage loads from exceeding a total current draw exceeding said nominal maximum current rating.

Upon activation, the timer displays an annular ring of thirty triangles and a first icon. After five seconds have passed, a second icon is displayed indicating the user should apply soap. A method, device and system to facilitate centralized control and monitoring of remote network-enabled bathing unit systems owned and operated by different customers are described. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) is provided for presenting on a computing device a listing of bathing unit systems owned and operated by different customers. The GUI is also configured for displaying operational status indicators associated with at least some of the bathing unit systems presented in the listing of bathing unit systems. Data conveying updated operational status information pertaining to one or more of the bathing unit systems in the listing of bathing unit systems is received over a communication network and, in response, the GUI is dynamically adapted to display updated operational status indicators. User operable inputs may also be provided by the GUI to allow a user to add a new entry to the listing of bathing unit systems. In some implementations, the GUI may be configured to present information conveying one or more replacement parts available for purchase for the bathing unit systems in the displayed listing.

A method, device and system for displaying, via a user interface, an ambiance setting for a bathing system. The user interface is configured to display at least one display page on a display screen.
