DISCONTINUOUSLY OPERATED CENTRIFUGE
A discontinuously operated centrifuge, in particular sugar or starch centrifuge, includes a rotating, cylindrical centrifuge basket having a casing provided with openings and having an upper open end. An inner screen element formed as a composite unit of a screen mat and a support mat is insertable as a prefabricated, single-piece screen element into the centrifuge basket via the upper open end thereof. The screen element has ends abutting in a circumferential direction within the centrifuge basket, with axially extending end strips attached to the abutting ends of the screen element. A closure element in the form of an axially extending clamping strip cooperates with the end strips so as to lock and radially brace the screen element against the centrifuge basket casing. Attached on the centrifuge basket is an upper limiting flange, with an annular cover being screwed onto an upper limiting flange for securing the screen element.

Batch centrifuge filter screen
A batch centrifuge having a filter screen that can be expeditiously removed and replaced and that is more rigid and more durable than filter screens that are typically employed in current practice. The batch centrifuge may include a centrifuge basket and a cylindrical filter screen disposed within the centrifuge basket, wherein the filter screen is formed of a plurality of curved panels that fit together at adjoining edges. In some embodiments, each of the curved panels may be small enough to fit through an opening in the top of the centrifuge basket without being bent or otherwise deformed.

CENTRIFUGE BASKET
A centrifuge basket includes a frustum-shaped hollow body defining a pair of opposed ends, being a larger end and a smaller end. The body defines an internal screening surface extending between the ends, the screening surface defining a plurality of apertures arranged to drain liquid from within the body. A plurality of ribs project into an interior of the body from the screening surface, the ribs being arranged in a plurality of annular arrays. The arrays are spaced axially along the screening surface and the ribs of at least one of the arrays are arranged transversely, at a defined included angle, relative to a generatrix line that forms a shape of the screening surface.

Component for a turbomachine centrifugal degasser with adapted longitudinal walls
A component for a centrifugal degasser for an air/oil mixture of a turbomachine is disclosed. The degasser rotates about an axis of symmetry, forming an annular chamber for centrifugal separation of the mixture. The chamber forms a fluid passage duct, one inlet of which is oriented axially for supplying the chamber with the mixture, and a first outlet of which is oriented radially inwards for discharging the deoiled air separated from the mixture. The chamber also includes at least one second oil outlet oriented radially outwards and intended to discharge the oil separated from the mixture to the outside of the degasser. The chamber has longitudinal walls passing radially therethrough, at least one of the surfaces of the longitudinal walls having surface structures and/or corrugations arranged to form obstacles to a flow of the mixture along the surface of the longitudinal walls.
