Nozzle, Valve, and Manifold Assembly for Precision Application of Crop Protectant
20220053689 · 2022-02-24 ·

A treatment system for spraying treatment fluid onto plants in a field is described. The treatment system includes a highly configurable treatment mechanism including an array of nozzles and valve assemblies coupled into manifolds, and manifold assemblies. The manifolds of the manifold assemblies can be oriented in an open state or a nested state, the open state with no overlap between nozzles of adjacent manifolds and the nested state with overlap between nozzles of adjacent manifolds. The manifolds can have multiple configurations, examples of which include a tube manifold and an offset manifold. The nozzles of the system can have multiple configurations, examples of which include a tri-spray nozzle, a bar nozzle, a fan nozzle, and a deflected fan nozzle. The system can be controlled by a system controller which detects plant material and instructs a nozzle or combination of nozzles to spray treatment fluid.

FLUIDIC CHIP FOR SPRAY NOZZLES

A fluidic chip defining an oscillator device for a spray system which provides a fan spray pattern of a fluid mixture at low temperature conditions while using standard fluid pump pressures. The fluidic chip configurations as described may provide a substantially stable exit fan angle at temperatures as low as about −10 degrees Celsius.

Various embodiments of modular dual vector fluid spray nozzles are disclosed. Embodiments of the nozzles are characterized by specially shaped fluid channels, impingement surfaces and exit orifices used to generate atomized mists of fluid under pressure. Embodiments of the nozzles are generally characterized by composite fluid spray density patterns having horizontal and vertical components, i.e., dual vector in nature. The nozzles disclosed are modular and may be easily installed or removed from a given fluid spray system, nozzle head, or fixture as dictated by any given application.

Rim jet nozzle system for toilets

A toilet assembly includes a toilet body and a nozzle system. The toilet body defines a toilet bowl and a rim area disposed along an upper edge of the toilet bowl. The rim area includes a flange defining an opening. The nozzle system includes a nozzle having a first end configured to be fluidly coupled to a water supply conduit and a second end fluidly coupled to the rim area. The second end defines an outlet formed at a compound angle. The connector assembly detachably couples the nozzle to the flange such that the nozzle extends through the opening.

Methods and apparatus for vacuum forming and subsequently applying topical coatings fiber-based food containers. The slurry includes one or more of an embedded moisture barrier, vapor barrier, and oil barrier, and the topical coating comprises one or more of a vapor barrier, a moisture barrier, an oil barrier, and an oxygen barrier. For food containers having deep sidewalls, a spray coating system includes a first nozzle for applying a full cone spray pattern to the bottom surface of the container, and a second nozzle for applying a hollow cone spray pattern to the inside surfaces of the side walls.

SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR IMPROVED CLEANING OF INDUSTRIAL FURNACES

A system, method, and apparatus for cleaning deposits in industrial furnaces. An improved fan jet nozzle for air cannon includes either a 4″ or a 6″ inner diameter circular inlet. The nozzle includes a flattening of the inlet on opposed top and bottom side walls converging towards an outlet of the nozzle. The opposed top and bottom sidewalls have convex surface protruding towards the throat of the nozzle. Lateral sidewalls converge towards the outlet of the nozzle. The lateral sidewalls have a slightly concave curvature protruding outwardly from the interior of the nozzle. The outlet may have an arcuate indentation proximal to a centerline of the lateral sidewalls. The improved performance in face area, planar are, and penetration depth permits employment of half the air cannons in an industrial furnace for cleaning while improving cleaning efficiency in the width and depth of cleaning.
