Dispenser
A dispensing device includes a housing, a substrate having a surface and disposed within the housing, a reservoir disposed within the housing and having a volatile active, and an activator operatively connected to the reservoir. When the activator is activated, the volatile active is released from the reservoir onto the surface to create a first quantity of volatile active having a first emanation rate and a second quantity of volatile active having a second emanation rate.
SHOWERHEAD WATER DEFLECTOR
The invention provides a showerhead water deflector effective for diverting showerhead water from its spray path. The showerhead water deflector includes a water-deflecting means coupled to a mounting device for attaching the water-deflector to a structure in the shower.
WATER MIST FIRE SUPPRESSION DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
A water mist fire suppression device includes a nozzle body disposed about a central axis. Also included a nozzle arrangement configured to expel water. The nozzle arrangement includes an annular groove. The nozzle arrangement also includes a micro nozzle extending from a water plenum to the annular groove, wherein the micro nozzle is angularly oriented from the central axis. The nozzle further includes a deflector lip located proximate an outlet of the nozzle, wherein the deflector lip is positioned to contact water exiting the outlet of the nozzle arrangement.
Particle size and wetness reduction devices for fog generating equipment
An enclosed structure for receiving fog from a fog-producing device. The fog comprises fog particles of water and an active substance that is capable of being aerosolized. A plurality of spaced-apart redirector surfaces is located within the enclosed structure; these surfaces define flow paths for the fog to travel. The fog particles collide with or pass proximate the redirector surfaces, causing the larger fog particles to fall out of the fog flow path, while the smaller fog particles continue along the fog flow path, finally exiting the enclosed structure. After exiting, the fog particles strike a target, with the active substance within the fog particles treating the target.
PROTECTION AND INSTALLATION DEVICE FOR FIRE PROTECTION SPRINKLERS
A device and method for protecting and installing a fire protection sprinkler. The protective and installation device has two discrete protective members coupled to one another about the sprinkler by a releasable locking arrangement defined by a connection between the two discrete protective members. At least one of the members includes a torque assist portion for applying torque to the fire protection sprinkler and each of the members includes a deflector protection portion.
AEROSOLISATION ENGINE FOR LIQUID DRUG DELIVERY BACKGROUND
A spray device for generating an aerosol of a liquid such as a medicament. The device includes a perforate element comprising one or more nozzles, each nozzle having an inlet and an outlet. A drive mechanism causes, in use, liquid to be driven through the one or more nozzles, thereby forming a liquid spray having one or more streams of liquid. At least one impaction surface is provided onto which, in use, the liquid impacts, the impaction surface being located downstream of the nozzle outlet(s).
Spray pattern adjustment system for a spray head
A method for assembling a spray pattern adjustment assembly for use with a spray head assembly is provided. The spray head assembly may define an outlet passage that has a height. The method may include the steps of inserting the spray pattern adjustment assembly having a reduced height compared to the height of the outlet passage into the outlet passage, increasing the height of the spray pattern adjustment assembly to at least match the height of the outlet passage, and substantially fixing the position of the spray pattern adjustment assembly relative to the spray head assembly.
Jet diffuser device with quick-replaceable nozzle for irrigation systems
A jet diffuser with a quick-change nozzle for use in irrigation systems includes an upper supply portion with a main body that has an upper tubular portion with a longitudinal axis, which is designed to be connected to a drop line and a lower hollow portion having a central cavity and a side wall, in which a lateral opening is formed, a nozzle adapted to be radially inserted into the cavity through the lateral opening in substantially coaxial and facing relationship to the upper tubular portion to direct a liquid jet axially downwards, and a quick-connect system associated with the nozzle for securing it within the main body and including cam and follower drive elements operating on the nozzle to move it and push it axially upwards into substantial contact and sealing relationship to the lower edge of the upper tubular portion, possibly with no seal interposed therebetween.
SPRINKLER FRAME SUPPORT BRIDGE
A sprinkler includes a body, a button, an activation element, and a support bridge. The body defines an outlet. The button seals the outlet. The activation element is coupled with the button. The support bridge is coupled with the activation element, and includes a center, a first arm extending from the center, a second arm extending from the center, opposite the first arm, and an arch extending from the first arm to the second arm, the arch having a flat shape.
Pressure regulating nozzle assembly
An irrigation sprinkler nozzle assembly including a pressure regulator having a low friction seal for a riser assembly in which the regulator is installed. The pressure regulator includes a movable portion, a fixed portion located upstream of the movable portion, and connectable to a water inlet, and a biasing member such as a spring which applies a force to the movable portion according to a pressure differential between the water inlet pressure and a reference pressure. The fixed and movable portions move relative to each other according to the force provided by the biasing member to provide a variable flow restriction which maintains the desired pressure. The low friction seal is a diaphragm connected at one end to the movable member and anchorable at another end in the nozzle head.
