Provided is a coating having a uniform and strong UV protective effect over the entire skin. A method for producing a UV protective coating on skin comprising a step of applying a composition comprising a UV protective agent to the skin, and a step of electrostatically spraying a composition comprising component (a) and component (b) directly onto the skin to form a coating on the skin, in this order or vice versa: (a) one or more volatile substances selected from the group consisting of water, an alcohol and a ketone, (b) a polymer having a film-forming ability.

A plastisol formulation configured for use in coating substrates and a method for applying the formulation. The inventive formulation has exceptional flexibility over a wide range of temperatures. It is comprised of polyvinyl chloride, a plasticizer, a stabilizer, preferably a pigment, and a UV inhibitor/light stabilizer. The formulation is applied to a substrate and then cured by exposing it to an elevated temperature.

A method for producing a wearable coating having a solid material fixed on skin, the method comprising: A) a step of placing one or more solid materials selected from the group consisting of a powder, a granule, a film, a fiber, a flat material, and a cubic material other than these, on a skin surface; B) a step of, after the step A), electrostatically spraying a composition X comprising the following component (a) and the following component (b) directly on the skin to thereby form a coating on the skin surface: (a) one or more volatile substances selected from the group consisting of water, an alcohol, and a ketone, and (b) a polymer having a coating forming ability; and after the step B) or before the step A), C) a step of applying a composition Y, other than the composition X, comprising one or more components selected from the group consisting of the following component (c) and the following component (d) to the skin: (c) an adhesive polymer, and (d) an oil.

Disclosed herein are nano-encapsulated compositions and systems and methods of preparing the same. The compositions may be obtained through co-axial electrospraying with pulsating voltage. The nano-encapsulated composition exhibit improved pharmacokinetic properties. Various embodiments include systems and methods that apply a constant voltage and/or a pulsating voltage at a frequency to a plate having co-axial outlets through which a core solution and capsule solution flow. In some implementations, the pulsating voltage fluctuates between a minimum pulsating voltage and a maximum pulsating voltage, wherein the minimum pulsating voltage is 0 KV or greater and the maximum pulsating voltage is greater than 0 KV and the minimum pulsating voltage. The constant voltage is greater than 0 KV, and a total maximum applied voltage to the plate is the sum of the maximum pulsating voltage and the constant voltage.

An object is built by depositing a mat on a build surface and utilizing a manufacturing process to position a structure over at least a portion of the mat to define an object. The object is removed from the build surface such that a first portion of the mat removed with the object is bonded to the structure, and a second portion of the mat removed with the object is unsupported by the structure. Alternatively, an object can be built by printing a conductive material over a surface to define a structure and utilizing the conductive material as a collector to control an electric field deposition over the structure to define an object where a first portion of the deposition is bonded to the structure and a second portion of the deposition is unsupported by the structure.

This invention relates to method and system for forming a film. The method including providing a trough containing water defining an air-water interface between air and the water; providing a solution containing a material of interest; and electrospraying the solution onto the air-water interface of water to form a film of the material of interest at the air-water interface. The system includes a trough containing water defining an air-water interface between air and the water; and means for spreading a solution containing a material of interest onto the air-water interface of water by electrospray, to form a film of the material of interest at the air-water interface. The spreading means comprises an electrospraying device.

A spraying device for producing a spray of particles in a carrier gas at ambient pressure, includes a storage volume for a liquid substance; at least one nozzle having an inlet and an outlet, the nozzle inlet fluidly communicating with the storage volume; a counter electrode; an electric supply coupled between the at least one nozzle and counter electrode for providing a first potential and create a first electric field between the nozzle outlet and the counter electrode.
