A voltage assisted painting system includes a housing, at least one nozzle, and at least one electrode. The housing has a conduit for receiving paint from an external source into the housing. The at least one nozzle is disposed in the housing. The at least one nozzle has an inlet that is fluidly connected to the conduit to receive paint from the conduit. The at least one nozzle has an outlet that dispenses paint. The at least one electrode is provided at the housing at a location downstream of the inlet with respect to the conduit. The at least one electrode is configured to generate a magnetic field in the vicinity of the outlet.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ELECTROSTATIC COATING

The present invention generally relates to an electrostatic coating system for spraying a stream of particles onto a medium, and in particular to a system comprising one or more apparatuses equipped with a powder coating suspension device. What is also contemplated is the use of a powder management system configured to supply predetermined powdered and air mixtures to the apparatus and a controller configured to adjust parameters of operation of both the apparatus and the powder management system. The present disclosure relates to an in-line industrial device able to coat paint, starch, thermoplastic materials, or any other powder material onto a medium by successively controlling a plurality of parameters.

A sprayer assembly for an ion source is disclosed. The sprayer includes a capillary having an outlet, a sheath for the capillary, and an elastic member. The sheath can move relative to the capillary between a first position in which the sheath covers the outlet of the capillary and a second position in which the outlet of the capillary is exposed. When the sheath moves from the first position to or towards the second position, the elastic member provides a restoring force that acts to restore the position of the sheath to or towards the first position.

A nozzle is additionally provided, which connects to the pivot body. Several webs and grooves are provided at the housing and pivot body, whereby the webs protrude into the grooves, and the webs and grooves are formed so that they form a labyrinth. A high voltage line is furthermore provided, which extends from the upstream housing via the pivot body all the way into the nozzle and which is formed there as high voltage electrode.
