Wash basin being transformable to be particularly adapted for wound irrigation
A hospital-grade basin holds water for washing patients, and converts easily/quickly for the patient's limb to rest across a portion of the basin. Half-moon shaped openings on opposite sides of the basin wall(s) support the limb at a reduced height with respect to adjacent side wall portions, which serve as a partial shield during wound irrigation. The shaped openings are sealed with hinged doors in a closed position, using a friction fit and/or elastomeric leaf-spring members. In another embodiment, opposing portions of the side wall may instead be formed of an over-molded elastomeric material that conforms to the patient's limb, or may have walls formed like a bellows. A one-time transformable basin has a wall with first and second notches to form first and second tear-away panels, which leave residual areas shaped and positioned on the wall according to first and second portions of a patient's limb.
Footbath apparatus
A footbath has a base member defining a platform. A flexible continuous side wall extends from a proximal end region connected about a periphery of the base member to a distal end region. The side wall has a collapsed position and an extended position. The platform of the base member and the side wall cooperate to define a bath chamber for retaining water with the bath chamber sized to receive a body part. A retention member is supported by the base member to extend from the base member to the distal end region of the side wall to retain the side wall in the extended position.
FOOT SPA WITH ILLUMINATION
An improved mount is of the type used in a foot spa. The foot spa is of the type having a surface which defines a vessel for containing water and a pump magnetically driven by rotating magnets. The mount defines part of the surface and holds the pump against rotation. The improvement comprises: a coil associated with the mount and disposed exteriorly of the surface of the basin and interiorly of the magnetic field produced by the rotating magnets to produce a current; a plurality of lights operatively connected to the coil; and light conductivity associated with the mount to permit the light to be visible interiorly of the basin.
Toilet With A Front Facing User-Accessible Compartment
A toilet with a base portion containing a front facing user-accessible compartment is disclosed. A channel is provided within a base portion for connecting a floor sewer pipe to the raised base of the toilet. Multiple embodiments are disclosed in which the user-accessible front facing user-accessible compartment comprises a retractable foot spa, a retractable scale, a computer processor, and user health devices. User interfaces are disclosed for the operation of the front facing user-accessible compartment and other functions of the front facing user-accessible compartment. Latching and moving mechanisms are also disclosed and claimed herein.
Limb irrigation pan device
A limb irrigation pan device collects and removes irrigation fluid and debris from a surgical field when a limb is irrigated. The device includes a frame having a pair of opposed ends and a pair of longitudinal sides extending between the opposed ends. Respective upper surfaces of each opposed end are concavely arcuate and an upper edge of the frame defines an open top of the frame. A base is coupled to the opposed ends and the longitudinal sides defining a well for collecting a fluid passed into the frame through the open top. A porous sling is coupled to the frame for passing the fluid through the sling to be collected in the well. A drain coupled to the frame is in fluid communication with the well wherein the drain drains the fluid from the well.
Aquarium fluid pump assembly with magnectic rotator
A fluid pump assembly is provided. The pump has a pair of units magnetically coupled to each other. The first unit contains a drive motor and a magnetic assembly. The second unit contains a magnetic assembly and a blade of a propeller/impeller for imparting movement to a fluid. As the first unit is activated by the drive motor, a magnetic flux is created which in turn rotates the magnetic assembly in the second unit, driving the blade.
FLEXIBLE LINER WITH INNER AND OUTER LAYERS FOR USE WITH A LIQUIED-RECEIVING BASIS
A liner for use with a basin to contain a liquid features a plurality of bodies of flexible plastic. Portions of an inner face of a first body of flexible plastic are joined to corresponding portions of an inner face of a second body of flexible plastic, through which a plurality of openings are formed, to provide a multi-layer body of flexible plastic. Other portions of the inner face of the first body of flexible plastic are not joined to corresponding other portions of the inner face of the second body of flexible plastic, defining an air conduit between the first body of flexible plastic and the second body of flexible plastic for guiding pressurized air substantially from an air discharge apparatus.
Water jet mechanism for whirlpool effect in pedicures or other applications
A whirlpool foot bath for a pedicure chair having a housing with a removable cap and a rotor and stator magnetic motor within the housing. Water in the bath is circulated through an inlet in the cap and out through at least one outlet in the cap. A method of use is described.
Apparatus and Method for Treatment of Foot and Nail Diseases
An apparatus for treatment of fungal infections and/or other foot skin disorders, comprises a shoe-type housing having a substantially hollow interior forming a treatment chamber, a supporting platform disposed within the hollow chamber; so that a foot of a patient positioned within the treatment chamber is supported by the platform, so that nails are disposed at the lower level of the front part of the chamber, whereas the heel of the foot is being elevated a rear part thereof. A delivery and control assembly for the aqueous solution is provided. At least one light delivery arrangement is disposed within or in the vicinity of the treatment chamber.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR TREATING AN INFECTION
The present application relates to compounded compositions, methods of making compounded compositions, kits comprising compounded compositions, containers comprising compounded compositions, and methods of using compounded compositions. The present application also relates to anti-infective agents and methods of using anti-infective agents. For example, disclosed herein are compounded compositions comprising an anti-bacterial agent, an anti-fungal agent, and an excipient base and methods of using a compounded composition to treat or prevent a bacterial infection, a fungal infection, or both, or a suspected bacterial infection, a suspected fungal infection, or both. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.
