Fluid dispenser
A dispenser includes a housing and a discharge opening provided at the distal end of the housing. The dispenser includes a liquid reservoir and a control device having a pump or a switching valve, which control device is connected by a first line to the liquid reservoir and by a second line to the discharge opening, and via which control device liquid is conducted from the liquid reservoir to the discharge opening. The dispenser includes a push button provided laterally in a cutout of a circumferential face of the housing and connected to the control device such that pressing the push button actuates the control device so that liquid is conducted to the discharge opening. Measures for securing the dispenser include a rotatable sleeve over the push button, a secured cap, a securing arrangement on the push button, an interaction of the push button with an opposite side of the dispenser, and a receiving sleeve for the dispenser.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INDIRECTLY DETERMINING THE DISPENSING OF MEDICATION FROM A CONTAINER
A body is configured to accept a medication container in a container cavity defined therein. The body may approximate a half-cylinder with the container disposed in the concavity, and held in place with flexure tabs or other restraints. A force sensor is disposed on the interior of the body in communication with the container cavity and container. Dispensing force applied to the container from the body side do not reach the container to dispense medication; dispensing force applied from the open side do, and also cause the container to press against the force sensor. This indirect, transmitted force is detected with the force sensor, and the force data is evaluated in a processor. In response to the force data corresponding with dispensing medication, the processor registers a medication event, such as by storing the event, displaying the event, or communicating the event to a third party.
DISCHARGER AND METHOD OF DISCHARGING
A discharger includes a dispensing element and a housing. The housing has a static piston connected to the dispensing element at least in a fluid conducting manner. The static piston has a piercing tip and is arranged within the housing.
Metered and active sprayer devices with aerosol functionality (“Flairosol II”)
In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, Flairosol dispensing devices can be provided. Such devices utilize a combination of Flair technology, pre-compression valves and aerosol-like pressurization of the dispensed liquid. Such a dispensing device has, for example, a main body comprising a pressure chamber, the latter being provided with a pressure piston and a pressure spring. The device further has a piston and a piston chamber which draws liquid from a container, for example, the inner container of a Flair bottle, and fills the pressure chamber with that liquid as a user operates a trigger in various compression and release strokes. The piston chamber has both an inlet valve and an outlet valve, which serve to prevent backflow. Liquid exiting the piston chamber under pressure (supplied by a user pumping the trigger) enters a central vertical channel which is in fluid communication with both the pressure chamber (above the pressure piston) and a dome valve provided near the outlet channel at the top of the dispensing head. The dome valve has a preset pressure, such that once exceeded by the liquid, opens and allows for a spray. If the liquid pressure drops below such preset pressure, the dome valve closes off the outlet channel, which serves to regulate the strength of the flow and preclude leakage. Alternatively, in an activated embodiment, for example, once the liquid is sufficiently pressurized, it can be dispensed by a user allowing the dome valve to open by pressing on an activation button that removes a dome lock.
Medication delivery systems and methods
The present disclosure relates to a medication delivery system including a medication administration device, a medication within the medication administration device, a container defining a cavity receiving the medication administration device, and a cap attached to the container and sealing the medication administration device within the cavity. The medication administration device includes an actuator extending from a body and operable to expel the medication by depressing the actuator into the body. The cap includes hold down members positioned to bear against the body of the medication administration device to prevent movement of the medication administration device toward the cap beyond a predetermined distance. The medication administration device is thereby prevented, inter alia, from prematurely discharging the medication during storage and transport.
ATOMIZER DEVICES, BOTTLES, AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
Bottles and atomizer configurations provide dispensers capable of atomizing a fluid or liquid contained in the bottle, wherein the bottles may include shapes and features to facilitate evacuation of the bottles and the atomizers provide improved features for storing and dispersing product from the bottles.
SPRAYERS, DISPENSERS, AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME
Dispensing systems (100) having wands (110) for distributing a spray away from a user include moveable wands (110), wands for locking actuation of the dispensing system (210), wands and dispensers providing gravity fed dispensing solutions (410) for battery-operated devices (500) and improved dispensers.
Smart vessel and filling station with product quality monitoring and alerts
A vessel includes a memory and a processor operatively coupled to the memory. The memory is configured to store a vessel identifier. The processor is configured to initiate a timer for a shelf life of a solution placed into the vessel. The processor is also configured to conduct a measurement of the solution using one or more sensors in the vessel. The processor is also configured to compare the measurement to a threshold for the solution. The processor is further configured to activate a solution indicator to indicate that the solution should be discarded responsive to a determination that the shelf life has expired or a determination that the measurement exceeds the threshold.
Sprayer device with aerosol functionality (“Flairosol”)
In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, Flair based aerosol-type devices can be provided. Such devices utilize a combination of Flair technology, pre-compression valves and aerosol like pressurization of the dispensed liquid. Such a dispensing device has a main body comprising a pressure chamber, the latter being provided with a pressure piston and a pressure spring. The device further has a piston and a piston chamber which draws liquid from a reservoir and fills the pressure chamber with that liquid as a user operates the trigger in various compression and release strokes. The piston chamber has both an inlet valve and an outlet valve. In a dispensing head a valve is provided to regulate the strength of the flow and preclude leakage. Once the liquid is sufficiently pressurized, it can be dispensed by a user opening an activation valve, such as by pressing on an activation button, and spray can be abruptly stopped by a user ceasing to push on such button. Or, for example, in alternate embodiments without an activation button, once the liquid is sufficiently pressurized, continuous spray occurs until the pressure chamber is emptied. By repeatedly pumping the trigger before the pressure chamber is fully emptied, continuous spray can be achieved. By designing the input volume to be amply greater than the volume of the pressure chamber, continuous spray with fewer pumping strokes can be implemented.
