Dispensing apparatus and method
The present disclosure relates to a dispenser for dispensing a liquid (LQ). The dispenser has a housing for receiving a removable container containing the liquid (LQ) and dispenses the liquid (LQ) from the container. The dispenser includes a capacitive sensor having a sensing element for positioning proximal to an exterior of the container. A processor is provided for receiving a capacitance signal (SIG1) from the capacitive sensor. The processor is configured to estimate a quantity of liquid (LQ) in the container in dependence on the capacitance signal (SIG1). The present disclosure also relates to a method of estimating a quantity of liquid (LQ) in a container.
Uptake shroud for inverted pumps
An exemplary refill unit for an dispenser includes a container for holding a liquid. The container has bottom side with a neck extending from the bottom side. A pump is connected to the neck of the container. The pump has a liquid pump portion that has a liquid pump inlet. The liquid pump inlet is located above the bottom of the container. A shroud is located over the liquid pump inlet and extends downward toward the bottom of the container. An air bleed valve is included and located in the top of the shroud.
DISCHARGE DEVICE
A discharge device including a pump disposed to a container body in which contents are stored and which includes a discharge head provided with a discharge hole formed therein; a mounting cap; a support portion; and a press-down member. By rotating the press-down member, the discharge head is moved downward and the contents are discharged from the discharge hole. The discharge device includes a stopper which is movable between a restricted position where the downward movement of the discharge head is restricted and a non-restricted position where the downward movement of the discharge head is allowed.
SENSOR ASSEMBLY
A sensor assembly includes a housing having an airfoil shape and including a pressure surface and a suction surface, a sensor attached to the housing and disposed on the suction surface, and a nozzle attached to the housing and directed toward the sensor. A vehicle may include an exterior panel, and the sensor assembly may be attached to the exterior panel.
DISPENSING MEMBER AND DISPENSER COMPRISING SUCH A MEMBER
A dispenser member, such as a pump or a valve, including a body defining an inlet tube and in which a valve rod is axially movable back and forth, the body being provided with a vent lip that extends around the body, pointing outwards and downwards towards the inlet tube, thereby defining an outer edge that is not in contact with the body, the vent lip being formed by a sleeve that is engaged axially around the body to form a seal between them, the sleeve forming a leaktight sheath that is engaged in leaktight manner around the inlet tube of the body; the dispenser member being characterized in that the vent lip is situated axially above the sealing sheath.
DETERGENT DISPENSING DEVICE
The detergent dispensing device includes a base and an extrusion assembly. The extrusion assembly is joined to the base, and includes a seat member having a first tube and a second tube extending upward and forward, respectively. A volume control member is configured inside the first tube and a resilient engagement member is reciprocally moveable along the second tube. The extrusion assembly also includes a connection member connecting the first tube. A detergent bottle is fit on the connection member and the detergent flows into the first tube through the connection member. When the engagement member is engaged, a first ball of the volume control member allows the detergent to flow out of the first tube. As the engagement member is restored resiliently, the first ball blocks the first tube, thereby providing a fixed amount of detergent.
Discharge head for a fluid dispenser and fluid dispenser
A discharge head for a fluid container, including a discharge opening and a switching valve which closes and opens a fluid path between the fluid container and the discharge opening. The discharge head has an inner component fixedly connected to a fluid store and an outer component movable relative to the inner component and non-separably connected thereto. The outer component is moved relative to the inner component between a first relative closure position and a second relative open position. The switching valve is opened and closed by movement of the inner component relative to the outer component, is closed in the first position and open in the second position. The inner and outer components are locked in the first position by a child-resistant mechanism, and displacement of the outer component from the first position into the second position is prevented in a locking position of the mechanism.
Container with improved liquid dispensing ability
A container comprises a receptacle, a manually-operated positive displacement dispensing nozzle, and a draw tube extending from the nozzle. The receptacle includes an upper body wall and an intermediate body wall connected by a first curved wall, and a lower sump wall connected with the intermediate body wall by a second curved wall. The lower sump wall and a bottom wall are connected by a third curved wall. The second curved wall, the lower sump wall, the third curved wall and the bottom wall form a sump into which the draw tube lower end extends to a midpoint. The volume of the sump below the midpoint is substantially equal to the volume of the sump above the midpoint, the draw tube end is spaced substantially equal distance from the surrounding lower sump wall, and the volume of the sump is about three times the volume of the draw tube.
Tilt action pump
A device for dispensing a cosmetic product may include a container configured to hold a volume of cosmetic product, the container having a closed lower end and an open upper end, a pump assembly disposed at least partially within the open upper end of the container, and a tip connected to the pump assembly, the tip having an outlet for dispensing the cosmetic product. The pump assembly and tip may be configured such that manually tilting the tip actuates the pump assembly to deliver a portion of the volume of cosmetic product to the outlet.
AUTOMATED FLOWABLE MATERIAL DISPENSERS AND RELATED METHODS FOR DISPENSING FLOWABLE MATERIAL
An automated flowable material dispenser for dispensing flowable material from a flowable material container is provided. The dispenser may include a dispenser housing and a motor assembly. The dispenser housing may include a dispensing opening and be configured to receive the flowable material container therein. The motor assembly may be positioned within the dispenser housing and configured to translate with respect to the dispenser housing between a home position and a dispensing position to dispense the flowable material from the flowable material container. The motor assembly may include a motor housing and a motor positioned at least partially within the motor housing.
