A water display including a number of pixels or manifolds that may include water nozzles to emit streams of water and/or other utilities such as lighting is described. The water streams may be pixelated so as to provide a high resolution waveform or other choreography. The choreography transitions between waveforms to provide the appearance of a cascading or undulating wave. A tool to design the water display and simulate its appearance is also described.

Liquid ejection device

A liquid ejection device includes: a nozzle through which a liquid is ejected; a liquid transporting pipe coupling to the nozzle; a pulsation generator configured to change a volume of a liquid chamber coupling to the liquid transporting pipe; a pump configured to send a liquid to the liquid transporting pipe; and a control unit configured to control driving of the pulsation generator and the pump. The control unit drives the pulsation generator and the pump such that Vf/Q is 0.3 or more, in which V [mm.sup.3] is a volume change amount of the liquid chamber, Q [mL/min] is a flow rate of a liquid to the liquid transporting pipe by the pump, and f [kHz] is a frequency at which the pulsation generator applies a pulsation to a liquid.

In one aspect, a system for spraying a fluid onto or near seeds may include a planter having a seed meter configured to dispense seeds from a hopper, a seed tube extending from the seed meter toward a furrow, and a rotationally-driven belt positioned within the seed tube. The belt may be configured for conveying the seeds from the seed meter through the seed tube to the furrow. The planter also includes a sprayer assembly having a nozzle configured to spray a fluid on or near the seeds dispensed from the seed meter. The system may further include a controller configured to determine a current speed of the belt relative to the seed tube and control the sprayer assembly based on the current speed of the belt such that the nozzle sprays the fluid at least one of onto or near each of the seeds.
