METHODS AND DRIVE CIRCUIT FOR CONTROLLING A SOLENOID VALVE
A method of controlling a solenoid valve having a solenoid coil and a poppet includes energizing a first node to a first voltage, and coupling the first node to the solenoid coil and energizing the solenoid coil using a pulse-width-modulated (PWM) signal having a frequency and a duty cycle configured to regulate a current conducted through the solenoid coil to below an opening threshold. The method further includes energizing a second node to a second voltage with energy stored in the solenoid coil, and coupling the second node to the solenoid coil and energizing the solenoid coil using a DC signal configured to increase the current to above the opening threshold. The method further includes coupling the first node to the solenoid coil and energizing the solenoid coil using the PWM signal having a frequency and duty cycle configured to regulate the current to above a closing threshold.
FLOTATION MACHINE APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A flotation machine includes a wash water system that is connectable adjacent a tank to direct sprays of water into froth within a froth zone. Wash water panel assemblies of the system can be positioned adjacent the tank so that each of the wash water panel assemblies are moveable between an open position and a closed position. Each wash water panel assembly can include an outer panel body that at least partially defines a reservoir in which wash water is passable and a spray membrane positionable adjacent the outer panel body. The spray membrane can have a plurality of spray holes in fluid communication with the reservoir such that water is passable from the reservoir and through the spray membrane via the spray holes for spraying water into the froth in the froth zone.

A cleaning device for selectively bombarding a surface with a media sequence of at least a first medium and a second medium. The cleaning device includes a nozzle configured to bombard the surface with the second medium and a cleaning valve having a holding port, a pressure port, a plunger, and a pressure outlet. The cleaning device further includes a high-pressure accumulator configured to store the first medium, which is loaded with an accumulator pressure, and a changeover valve configured to selectively create a connection between a first medium supply line and a holding line connected to the holding port. The pressure outlet is configured to bombard the surface with the first medium in pulse-like fashion.

A spray nozzle assembly for producing an oscillating spray discharge is provided. The spray nozzle assembly includes a nozzle body with a liquid inlet passage that converges via an inwardly converging conical section that defines a liquid inlet orifice. An expansion chamber communicates in a downstream direction with the liquid inlet orifice. An exit orifice communicates in the downstream direction with the expansion chamber. A pair of longitudinal veins and a pair of outwardly disposed feedback passages are provided in the expansion chamber. Each vein defines a respective downstream orifice to a respective one of the feedback passages adjacent the exit orifice and an upstream orifice to the respective one of the feedback passages adjacent the inlet orifice.

A spray nozzle assembly for producing an oscillating spray discharge is provided. A method for covering inner walls of a cavity with a protective layer made of anti-corrosion wax, in particular for use on vehicle bodies and add-on parts for vehicle bodies. Anti-corrosion wax is brought into an atomized form (protective agent mist) by a mist generator and supplied through an outlet opening to the cavity to be preserved. The protective agent mist is deposited on inner walls of the cavity and forms an anti-corrosion agent layer.
