METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SPRAYING DEVICE AND SPRAYING DEVICE
A mist spraying unit atomizes a liquid and sprays the liquid as a mist, a light projector irradiates a space into which the mist is sprayed from the mist spraying unit with light, an imaging unit images scattered light by the mist of the light irradiated from the light projector, and an arithmetic unit calculates a mist concentration in the space based on a luminance value of a pixel constituting an image acquired from the imaging unit, thereby stopping spraying of the mist sprayed from the mist spraying unit.
SPRINKLER SYSTEM ACCOUNTING FOR WIND EFFECT
A novel sprinkler system designed to take into account the effect of wind on water droplets. There is also disclosed a wind shifting algorithm which, when used, corrects the sprinkler water spray to counteract the effect of wind, such that good water coverage and precipitation uniformity can be achieved.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING WEEDS WITHIN A FIELD DURING AN AGRICULTURAL SPRAYING OPERATION
A system for identifying weeds present within a field includes an imaging device configured to capture an image depicting a plurality of plants present within the field. Furthermore, the system includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the imaging device, with the computing system configured to receive the image captured by the imaging device. Additionally, the computing system is configured to identify a stalk of each of the plurality of the plants depicted within the received image. Moreover, the computing system is configured to determine a parameter associated with each identified stalk. In addition, the computing system is configured to identify each plant of the plurality of plants as a crop or a weed based on the corresponding determined parameter.
Fire apparatus piercing tip ranging and alignment system
A fire-fighting vehicle includes a boom assembly movably coupled to a chassis, a penetrating nozzle coupled to the boom assembly, an actuator that moves the penetrating nozzle relative to the chassis, and a controller operatively coupled to a sensor. The penetrating nozzle includes a piercing tip and an outlet configured to be selectively fluidly coupled to a supply of fire suppressant. The piercing tip is repositionable relative to a surface of an object having an interior cavity. The outlet supplies fire suppressant into the interior cavity when the piercing tip is within the interior cavity. The sensor provides data relating to at least one of a position and an orientation of the piercing tip relative to the surface. The controller determines an angular orientation of the piercing tip relative to the surface based on the data.
Holographic projection system and method for a vehicle
A holographic projection system and method are implemented by a projection device provided on the vehicle; a water mist generating device for generating water mist provided on the vehicle; and a controller in communication with the projection device and the water mist generating device. The controller is configured to detect a signal of user proximity to the vehicle, and activate the water mist generating device and the projection device respectively based on the detected signal, so that the projection device projects an image onto the water mist.
Portable Pressurized On-Demand Water Source
A portable fresh water source that can dispense water under pressure through a hand-held nozzle for utility and recreational uses, such as for rinsing saltwater from marine equipment, washing hands, showering, cleaning dishes, watering plants, or any other activity in which a portable on-demand fresh water source would be useful. The portable fresh water source includes a reservoir, a battery, a pressurizing pump, and a dispensing apparatus. The battery provides power to the pressurizing pump, which in turn provides water pressure to the dispensing apparatus. A version of the dispensing apparatus is a hose with a nozzle. Another version has a hands-free nozzle to allow a user to control the system without touching the device.
System and method for coating workpieces
The invention relates to a system and to a method for coating workpieces using a coating device, which is designed to apply a metal coating to a surface of the workpiece. According to the invention, it is provided that a plurality of coating devices, which are designed as identical coating modules, are provided and are arranged in a module group, that an input measuring station is assigned to the module group, by means of which station a surface of the face of the workpiece to be coated can be detected, that a conveying apparatus is provided, by means of which a workpiece can be supplied to one of the coating modules from the input measuring station, and that an output measuring station is assigned to the module group, by means of which station a surface of the coated face of the workpiece can be detected.

Fluid application for autonomous haul trucks
A method for applying fluid to a travel lane is disclosed. The method may include receiving information related to a travel lane including a first set of tire paths and a second set of tire paths to be traveled by one or more vehicles, generating spray pattern control information for a fluid application machine having multiple spray heads based on the first set of tire paths and the second set of tire paths to be traveled by the one or more vehicles, and selectively triggering the multiple spray heads of the fluid application machine to alternately apply fluid to the first set of tire paths and the second set of tire paths based on the spray pattern control information and based on a current position of the fluid application machine on the travel lane.
