A method for filling a tank with a coating material on a vehicle. The method includes providing containers of coating material to a location of the vehicle and inserting a draw tube into one of the containers. The method also includes pumping coating material using a draw pump and into the tank on the vehicle. The method also includes removing residual coating material from the containers and adding the residual coating material to the tank. If the coating material level is not at a desired level, the inserting, pumping, removing, and adding steps are repeated with another container of coating material. If the coating material level is at the desired level, a layer of water may be formed over coating material in the tank.

A controller is connected to the cartridge robot and the dispense robot for operating the robots and a plurality of sensors are connected to the controller for generating the unique identification information for the selected cartridge, sealant usage per workpiece, sealant dispense pressure, sealant dispense temperature; and sealant usage from the selected cartridge.

The electrostatic coating device includes a coating material cartridge that includes coating-material containers, a valve that makes a change of colors of coating materials, a common path through which coating materials are able to pass according to the change, and a cleaning circuit that cleans up the common path. The coating material cartridge is configured to be removable from a coating machine. The coating material cartridge may include individual paths respectively connected to the coating-material containers and each of which one of the coating materials passes through, and valves each connected to the common path and respectively connected to the individual paths. Each of the valves may open and close a conduit line between the common path and a corresponding coating-material container.

A solvent inlet provides solvent to the solvent chamber to move the piston. Movement of the piston discharges paint from the paint chamber through the paint outlet.
