Methods and Systems for Atomized Compositions Propelled by Gas
This disclosure provides methods and systems that comprise a misting unit for atomizing a water-based or solvent-based composition, such as a liquid composition thereof to create a mist. Further, the disclosed methods and systems may include introducing, through an airtight aperture in a pipe or substrate, the mist into the pipe or the substrate. Further still, the disclosed methods and systems may include propelling, by an inert or non-inert gas, the mist onto at least a portion of the interior surface of a substrate connected to or integrated with the pipe within a closed system. The misting unit may be removably or irremovably connected to the pipe for optionally removably connecting to the substrate.
Method and tool for treating a seal wiping surface of a sealed connector and tool for treating a seal wiping surface of a sealed connector
A method of preparing a sealed connector system for connection is presented. The sealed connector system has a male connector body, a female connector body defining a shroud to receive the male connector body, and a resilient seal surrounding the male connector body. The method includes the steps of applying lubricant on a seal wiping surface on the shroud interior and inserting the male connector body within the female connector body such that the resilient seal is in compressive contact with the seal wiping surface. A tool to apply the lubricant includes an insert disposed within the shroud having a central cavity and passages extending from the central cavity to portals defined in an outer surface of the insert and a spray valve disposed within the insert configured to dispense a lubricant mist into the central cavity, through the passages to the portals, and onto the seal wiping surface.
NOZZLE HEAD, CLEANING SYSTEM, METHOD FOR CLEANING AND GLASS ELEMENT
At least one glass element includes: a first end; a second end; and a hollow portion including a first end section including the first end of the at least one glass element, a middle section, and a second end section including the second end of the at least one glass element. Each section has an inner surface and an outer surface and all sections are of equal length. A ratio of a number of particles on the inner surface at the first end section and/or the second end section to a number of particles on the inner surface at the middle section is 20 or less.
System For Spraying the Interior of a Container
A spraying system and method is provided for more efficiently accessing the interior of a container having an access opening to the container that is offset from or in angular relationship to the center and/or rotational axis of the container to contact the interior walls and surfaces of the container with a medium, such as a liquid, mixture, solution or suspension. The spraying system and method includes a non-linear boom that is elevated by a support structure, where the non-linear boom includes at its front end a plurality of spray nozzles. In one example, the support structure is a movable support structure that includes a guide mechanism where the guide mechanism is mounted on the moveable support structure at an angle relative to the surface supporting the moveable support structure to allow access to the interior of the container.
VENTED NOZZLE FOR AIR BLOW GUN
An attachment for an air blow gun includes a nozzle and a nozzle insert. The nozzle is a hollow cylinder and includes radial pinholes at one end. The nozzle insert includes a longitudinal pinhole. The nozzle insert is inserted into the end of the nozzle with the radial pinholes. When high-pressure air is delivered to the attachment, plumes of high-velocity air exit from the radial pinholes and the longitudinal pinhole. The attachment is particularly well suited to cleaning confined spaces in workpieces with high-velocity air.
SWITCHER NOZZLE HIGH EFFICIENCY FLOW INSERT
A nozzle assembly includes a hollow nozzle body having a central bore and a plurality of ports extending through the body from the central bore; a switching valve assembly disposed in the central bore that directs fluid flow to ports upon application of fluid flow above a predetermined threshold to the inlet and direct fluid flow to different ports upon fluid flow having subsequently dropped below the predetermined threshold and then exceeding the predetermined threshold; and a flow insert configured to replace the switching valve assembly for directing flow through all of the ports when switching functionality is not needed. This flow insert may be made of a low pressure material such as a polymer.
Coke removal in vertical risers
A method of removing an obstruction of coke built up in a riser of a fluid catalytic converter and of cleaning the riser involves using a suspended centralizer and narrowly angled nozzles for first hydroblasting a drainage orifice in the obstruction, adjusting guide arms and manipulating the suspended apparatus to allow enlargement of the orifice, further adjusting the guide arms and enlarging the angles of the nozzles to work the remaining coke built up.
TOOL FOR HOLDING A SPRAY PAINTING INSTRUMENT FOR PAINTING AN INTERNAL SURFACE OF A PIPE
Disclosed herein is a tool for holding a spray painting instrument, such as a painting gun for painting an internal surface of a pipe. In particular, the inventive tool is ideal for painting the interior of curves and angles in a pipe and is capable of moving through and uniformly painting up to 90 degree angles of pipes or hollow tubes. The tool has a hollow central tube for carrying a spray-painting gun and at least two projections extending outwardly from an outer surface of the hollow tube. A retracting arm assembly is provided on each projection. Each retracting arm assembly includes first and second retracting arms and a corresponding force exertion mechanism. In operation, when the tool is inserted inside the pipe, each retracting arm touches the internal surface of the pipe due to an outward force exerted thereon. The tool is movable inside the pipe and adjusts automatically to different pipe diameters. The tool can be used manually or in an automated fashion to push and pull the paint gun and paint the interior of a pipe.
GAS TURBINE ENGINE MAINTENANCE TOOL
A maintenance tool for gas turbine engine includes a rail system having a plurality of rail segments insertable through one or more inspection holes of the gas turbine engine for assembly within a core air flowpath of the gas turbine engine. The maintenance tool additionally includes a maintenance head movable along the plurality of rail segments of the rail system for performing maintenance operations within the core air flowpath.
