FACEPLATE TENSIONING METHOD AND APPARATUS TO PREVENT DROOP
Embodiments of showerheads for use in a process chamber and methods of reducing drooping of a showerhead faceplate are provided herein. In some embodiments, a showerhead for use in a process chamber includes: a faceplate having a plurality of gas distribution holes disposed therethrough; and one or more cables that engage with the faceplate and configured to prestress the faceplate.

FLUID SPRAYING FACILITY AND METHOD FOR MOVING AN ASSOCIATED FLUID
A fluid spraying facility including a fluid circulation pipe and a scraper that can circulate in the pipe in order to push back the fluid present in the pipe as it moves forward, the pipe and the scraper each having a circular section, the pipe having an inner diameter, the scraper having an outer diameter, the outer diameter having a first value. A difference between the inner diameter of the pipe and the first outer diameter value of the scraper is greater than or equal to 100 micrometers, preferably greater than or equal to 200 micrometers.
AN IMPROVED BLAST NOZZLE
a blast nozzle is provided that has a conduit through it for accelerating air applied to the blast nozzle at pressure greater than ambient pressure. The air contains abrasive particles for abrading or “blasting” a workpiece. The conduit includes an inlet portion that converges from an inlet opening for receiving the air, to a throat for accelerating the air to a sonic speed. The conduit also includes an outlet portion that extends from the throat to a nozzle outlet for accelerating the air from the throat to a super-sonic speed at the nozzle outlet. A ratio of area of the nozzle outlet to area of the throat is selected for expansion of the air through the conduit so that air is emitted from the nozzle outlet in a jet at an ambient pressure. The jet imparts drag on the abrasive particles between the nozzle outlet and the workpiece which has been found to improve abrading of the workpiece by the abrasive particles.

APPARATUS FOR DISINFECTING AT LEAST ONE ROOM, IN PARTICULAR A DWELLING ROOM FOR PERSONS, WITH AN ATOMISER
The invention relates to an apparatus (100) for disinfecting at least one room, in particular for one or more persons, preferably a dwelling room, storage room, cooling room or treatment room, for example a treatment room of a building, in particular a sickroom, a patient room and/or an operating room, with a rotatable bell cup (1) for atomising a disinfectant, a hollow drive shaft (10) for driving the bell cup (1), and a housing (11) in which a drive unit (2) for driving the drive shaft (10) is accommodated and preferably the drive shaft (10) is accommodated. The apparatus (100) is particularly characterised in that the housing (11) has a plurality of cooling ribs (12), and/or the drive shaft (10) is provided with a labyrinth seal (13), preferably in order to prevent unwanted penetration of liquid into the housing (11).
SPRAY PATTERN MONITORING
A spray pattern monitoring system includes a spray sensor disposed proximate an outlet of a spray nozzle. The spray sensor has one or more optical sensors configured to emit directional light, such as laser pulses, towards the expected position of a liquid spray emitted from the nozzle. The spray sensor can detect the absence or presence of the liquid spray based on returns of the directional light to the optical sensor.
VALVE PRIMING AND DEPRIMING
A system for applying an agricultural product includes at least one control valve. For instance, the control valve has a moveable valve operator. One or more sensors monitor one or more control valve characteristics. A valve controller is configured to determine the control valve is in one or more of a primed state or an unprimed state based on a comparison of the one or more control valve characteristics to a primed valve characteristic threshold.
Collar and assemblies including same, for applicators, syringes and the like
A collar for reinforcing a barrel outlet spout of an applicator, syringe or the like, the barrel having a substantially cylindrical main body, with the outlet spout at one end thereof, wherein the collar includes: a spout engagement portion; and a main body engagement portion.
