A neck pillow includes: a cushion portion worn on a user's neck and an electro-liquid driving unit mounted into the cushion portion, being bent in a shape of an arc, and including ferroelectric particles, each having an electrorheological property, and nonconductive liquid. The electro-liquid driving unit generates vibration by contraction and expansion that are repeated when an arrangement of the ferroelectric particles and the nonconductive liquid is changed according to whether drive current is applied. A low voltage power supply unit supplies low voltage electricity necessary to drive the electro-liquid driving unit and a high voltage control circuit unit converts low voltage direct current into high voltage direct current and supplies the drive current to the electro-liquid driving unit and adjusting micro-current to generate target vibration in the electro-liquid driving unit.

ULTRASONIC WAVE ACUPUNCTURE DEVICE

The disclosure provides an ultrasonic wave acupuncture device, including an ultrasonic source, a liquid lens, an ultrasonic-source controller, a liquid-lens controller, and a power supply. The ultrasonic source is adapted to generate ultrasonic waves. The liquid lens is adapted to focus the ultrasonic waves. The ultrasonic-source controller is electrically connected to the ultrasonic source and generates ultrasonic-source voltage pulses to control the frequency, amplitude, and pulse length of the ultrasonic waves generated by the ultrasonic source. The liquid-lens controller is electrically connected to the liquid lens and generates liquid-lens voltage pulses to control the focal length of the liquid lens to focus the ultrasonic waves on a specific location. The power supply is electrically connected to the ultrasonic-source controller and the liquid-lens controller, so as to provide voltage to the ultrasonic-source controller to control the ultrasonic source, and to provide voltage to the liquid-lens controller to control the liquid lens. The ultrasonic-source voltage pulses generated by the ultrasonic-source controller and the liquid-lens voltage pulses generated by the liquid-lens controller are aligned with each other.

Device, system and method for facilitating breathing via simulation of limb movement

A device, system and method for increasing air intake by a subject is described. The device includes a vibration motor and a control unit for controlling vibrational motion output by the vibration motor. The methods include positioning the vibration motor on one or more limbs of a subject, and stimulating nerves in the limbs via the generated vibrational motion, whereby the stimulated nerve signals the brain to increase breathing rate or air intake by the subject. Accordingly, embodiments of the device activate nerve fibers that carry kinesthetic cues from the limbs in a pattern that simulates normal limb motion, and thus triggers inherent reflexes that increase ventilation in response to such motion.

METHOD AND APPARATUS TO PREDICT, REPORT, AND PREVENT EPISODES OF EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL RESPONSES TO PHYSIOLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
20170340270 · 2017-11-30 ·

A method and apparatus to detect environmental triggers of stress and antecedent physiological stress symptoms of a patient, followed up with delivery of stress relieving therapeutic response to the patient and a chronological report of events. An embodiment comprises a first device worn by the patient that contains sensors and can transmit and receive signals and a second device used by the caregiver that can transmit and receive signals. This integrated system continuously monitors environmental triggers and physiological stress indicative parameters of a patient diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder, or other emotional or physical disorders, and compares these parameters against thresholds for the parameters. These thresholds can be configured automatically by the system—based on past episodes—or manually by the caregiver, or using automatically configured thresholds that are fine-tuned by the caregiver. When the parameters exceed the configured thresholds, several responses can be automatically generated by the system including: 1) generating therapeutic calming responses and cues to the patient to alleviate the episode, 2) sending notifications to the caregiver's device for intervention, and 3) creating a chronological assessment report of environmental stress triggers, antecedent physiological stress symptoms, and the resultant behavior of the patient.

A grip element having an elongate grip body with a first end region and a second end region. The grip body has a first surface near the second end region, with a curved subregion for supporting a subregion of the ball of the human hand, and an outwardly curved second surface supporting a subregion of the palm, and an inwardly curved third surface adjacent to the first surface and supporting the extended thumb, and an outwardly curved fourth surface lying substantially opposite the third surface and supporting the middle finger, adjacent to which fourth surface an outwardly curved fifth surface is provided for supporting the ring finger. The grip body has a sixth surface to support the index finger. The sixth surface, starting from a subregion of the second surface spaced apart from the second end region of the grip body, extends in the direction to the first end region and runs longitudinally along the grip body.

Muscle optimization device and method

A device and method are provided for therapy and treatment of biological tissue such as muscle, tendon, and ligament tissue, by use of a device and method in which therapeutic vibrational frequency resonance patterns are transmitted to tissues of a patient. The resonance frequencies originate from many resonance domains, including vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, and fatty acids. Each domain includes therapeutic frequency resonance patterns. These resonance patterns may be passively excited and transmitted to a patient to enhance tissue function, to decrease the normal rehabilitation time of damaged tissue, and provide therapeutic benefits for muscle tissue dysfunction. Therapeutic frequency resonance patterns may also be actively excited by a delivery mechanism that uses electromagnetic or mechanical waves to interact with the device. The actively excited device transmits the therapeutic frequency resonance patterns to the patients for similar enhancements and therapeutic benefits.
