When the rotating means engages the internal gear through the distal end, the proximal end of the tool is configured for removing a sprinkler cap by engaging the inner engagement surfaces with gripping surfaces of the cap.

The plunger rod is configured to dislodge, at least in part, debris from within the screen device during at least the first filter cleaning event segment.
