Electrode assembly for an electrostatic atomizer
Various exemplary illustrations of an electrode assembly for an electrostatic atomizer, for example for a rotation atomizer, and exemplary methods of making and/or using the same, are disclosed. An exemplary electrode assembly may not include an electrode holder arrangement for holding at least one electrode creating an electrostatic field about a symmetrical axis, wherein there is dielectric material for influencing a discharge current component extending in the direction of the symmetrical axis.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INLINE COATING OF SUBSTRATES
A coating apparatus can be used to concurrently coat both sides of a substrate while assuring a VOC free atmosphere outside the equipment. The coating apparatus can be used in-line, where flat materials and substrates that are typically carried along a conveyer may enter the coating apparatus, usually without requiring the substrate to be moved into any other configuration. The coating apparatus may be configured to permit the user to perform any number of treatment steps while providing isolation between the steps. The substrate can be partially suspended by the coating apparatus to permit both sides to be treated at the same time. A vacuum system, including redundant perimeter negative pressure venting ducts, can create a vacuum perimeter wall around the moving, treated material to ensure a VOC free atmosphere outside the coating apparatus.
Production Line and Trolley for Use Therein
A production line for processing a work piece in successive steps comprises a plurality of stations and a plurality of trolleys, each of which comprises a first connector, said plurality of stations comprising at least one workstation adapted for carrying out therein an associated one of said steps and at least one charging station comprising a second connector for providing a commodity to one of said trolleys when connected to the first connector of said trolley. At least one of said trolleys comprises a second connector which communicates with the first connector.
TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATING WORKPIECES
In order to provide a treatment system for treating workpieces, in particular for performing a fluid treatment on vehicle bodies, which is simple in design and enables an efficient workpiece treatment, it is proposed that the treatment system comprises the following: an enclosure which surrounds a treatment chamber, a conveying device for conveying the workpieces; an application device for applying fluid to the workpieces.
POWDER COATING (ELECTROSTATIC PAINTING) METHOD AND PLANT FOR NON ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE ELEMENTS, AND IN PARTICULAR BRAKE PADS
A method and system for powder coating non electrically conductive elements, preferably brake pads. A pre-treatment station is upstream of an electrostatic powder coating deposition station and a baking station for melting and polymerizing the powder coating in order to form a coating layer on a surface to be coated. The pre-treatment station causes the elements to be coated to conduct electrically by uniformly wetting said elements by means of creating poorly mineralized water covalent bonds on at least one surface to be coated, in an amount aimed at producing a measurable weight increase in the non electrically conductive elements, which then causes them to conduct electrically. The water adsorbed and/or deposited is subsequently eliminated within the baking station.
Powder pipe coating booth
Apparatus for coating a heated pipe section with a fusible powder includes a booth enclosing a powder application volume, at least one powder dispensing device for dispensing powder supplied to the device in the direction of the heated pipe section as the heated pipe section passes through the volume, and a filter mechanism coupled to the booth for extracting from the booth a stream of air entraining fusible powder that does not stick to the heated pipe section and extracting the fusible powder that does not stick to the heated pipe section from the volume. The apparatus further includes an opening between the volume and the filter mechanism. The opening permits the mixing of cooler air into the stream of air entraining fusible powder that does not stick to the heated pipe section before the stream of air entraining fusible powder that does not stick to the heated pipe section reaches the filter mechanism.
Coating facility and coating method
A coating facility including: a first base outer surface coating zone; a second base inner surface coating zone; a second base outer surface coating zone; a clear inner surface coating zone and a clear outer surface coating zone; and a baking zone in which each wet coating film are simultaneously baked and cured.

Conveyor Apparatus for Conveying Motor Vehicle Bodies, Method for Painting a Motor Vehicle Body, and Painting Apparatus
A conveying apparatus for conveying a motor vehicle body along a conveying path includes a chain conveyor that has a chain strand which circulates along the conveying path. Fixedly receiving elements and loosely receiving elements are alternately disposed on the chain strand at a predefined interval from each other over an entire length of the chain strand and are movable along the conveying path by the chain strand. A respective fixedly receiving element is configured to receive and secure a first crossmember which is releasably connected to the motor vehicle body and a respective loosely receiving element has a deposition region on which a second crossmember which is releasably connected to the motor vehicle body is supportable.
