Method of Applying Adhesive to an Outer Circumferential Surface of a Cylindrical Compressor Liner and an Adhesive Applicator Apparatus Therefor
An apparatus is provided for applying adhesive to a compressor liner having a longitudinal central axis. A first roller has a longitudinal central axis and has an outer circumferential surface which is immersed in adhesive in an adhesive sink. A second roller has a longitudinal central axis and is radially spaced apart from the first roller. The second roller has same outer diameter as the first roller and has an outer circumferential surface which is not immersed in adhesive in the adhesive sink. The first and second rollers cooperate to support the compressor liner for rotation about its longitudinal central axis. A drive mechanism includes a constant speed drive for rotating the first and second rollers about their longitudinal central axes at a constant rotational speed to allow a consistent weight and uniform layer of adhesive to be transferred from the first roller to the compressor liner.
Girth Weld Coater
A girth weld coating machine has an application head rotatable about a pipeline. A reservoir of coating material is carried on the application head and progressively dispenses coating material on to the girth weld. The coating material is applied to the pipe surface by a roller to spread and distribute the coating over the surface.
WIND TURBINE ROBOTIC CLEANING AND PAINTING SYSTEM
The invention relates to wind turbine blade and tower maintenance devices, which can be used for semi- or fully-automated maintenance, including cleaning, de-icing, and painting of wind turbine blades and tower. The wind turbine blade maintenance arrangement, comprising a main frame; a roller frame; at least one cleaning and/or painting means supporting frame; a linear movement rail, comprising the longitudinally extending base surface, two longitudinally-extending walls, being perpendicular to the base surface; a joint, providing for at least one degree of freedom; at least two rollers mounted on the roller frame and configured to allow secure pushing of the arrangement of the cleaning robot against an edge of the wind turbine blade, and moving the maintenance arrangement along the edge of the blade; the cleaning and/or painting means, mounted on the cleaning and/or painting means supporting frame; the cleaning and/or painting means supporting frame or frames are adjustably connected to the roller frame so as to allow controllable adjustment of the distance between the cleaning and/or painting means, and the surfaces of the wind turbine; wherein the main frame and the roller frame are adjustably connected together via a linear movement rail and a joint; the linear movement rail is designed to allow movement of the roller frame in a substantially horizontal direction in respect to the main frame; the joint is designed to allow controllable rotational movement of the roller frame in respect to the linear movement rail, wherein the rotational axis of the revolute joint is substantially perpendicular to the base surface of the linear movement rail.
TEXTURED CONDOM
A condom including a polymeric sheath, and one or more features including a polymeric composition disposed thereon, the one or more feature optionally having a color different than that of the polymeric sheath, is disclosed. Apparatus and methods for manufacturing a textured condom are also disclosed.
Catheter tip coating system
A catheter tip coating assembly includes a housing defining a fluid reservoir and having a fluid outlet configured to dispense fluid to an end of a piece of tubing. The catheter tip coating assembly includes a valve assembly carried by the housing and at least partly disposed in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir. The valve assembly is configured to receive the piece of tubing and configured to move between a first position to limit fluid communication between the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet and a second position to provide fluid communication between the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet to dispense fluid to the end of the piece of tubing. The assembly provides for careful control over the amount of liquid that is applied and the depth of the wetting.
Marking system for springs
A marking system for springs comprises: an arranging apparatus for arranging a spring; and a marking apparatus for applying an identification mark on the spring. The marking apparatus comprises: a frame having a space for marking therein; a pad unit for applying a mark on the spring located in the frame; and an ink unit for supplying ink to the pad unit.
APPARATUS FOR DISPENSING ADHESIVE AND METHODS OF DISPENSING ADHESIVE
The present disclosure provides an apparatus (2, 4) for dispensing adhesive. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises: a housing body (12) including a cavity and an aperture (22), wherein the housing body includes a front plate (20) having an angled internal surface (24); an internal member having an angled surface; a channel (226) for adhesive positioned to extrude adhesive between the angled internal surface and the angled surface of the internal member onto the outer surface of the selected male pipe.
Method and device for producing honeycomb structure
A method for producing a honeycomb structure according to the present invention includes: a preparation step of preparing a honeycomb structure element 2 having plurality of slits 12; and a filling step of filling the plurality of slits 12 with a filling material 13 by a contacting member 3 by feeding the filling material 13 to an outer peripheral surface 20 of the honeycomb structure element 2, and rotating the honeycomb structure element 2 while pressing a tip portion 3a of the contacting member 3 inclined at an angle relative to a normal line 20a of the outer peripheral surface 20 of the honeycomb structure element 2 against the outer peripheral surface 20 with a force, to obtain the honeycomb structure having the plurality of slits 12 filled with the filling material 13.
Ultraviolet bottom coating system
An ultraviolet bottom coating system including a conveyor mechanism configured to route a plurality of cans in a machine direction, wherein the plurality of cans each have a bottom surface and uncured coating material applied on the bottom surface. The system also includes at least one ultraviolet light-emitting diode (UV-LED) device configured to emit ultraviolet radiation towards the plurality of cans, wherein the ultraviolet radiation is configured to cure the uncured coating material onto the bottom surface.
