Gluing device
Disclosed is a gluing device including a reservoir tank of liquid glue; an applicator roll partially immersed in the liquid glue; a doctor roll for adjusting a thickness of the liquid glue adhered to the applicator roll to become uniform; and a pair of glue dams for regulating a width of the liquid glue adherable to the applicator roll. The gluing device is configured to apply the adhered liquid glue on the applicator roll to a corrugated medium of a corrugated paperboard sheet. Each of the glue dams includes a pair of dam units located in spaced-apart relation to each other in a width direction of the applicator roll. The pair of dam units are configured to form a glue-uncoated region interposed between the pair of dam units on an outer peripheral surface of the applicator roll so as to correspond to a trimming region of the corrugated paperboard sheet.

A liquid applicator apparatus that allows for fast, convenient, and simultaneous application of a liquid to a plurality of surfaces, including: a handle member; an applicator retaining member; a first liquid applicator; a second liquid applicator; and wherein the first liquid applicator and second liquid applicator are adapted to enable a user to simultaneously apply a liquid to noncontinuous and/or nonplanar surfaces, that are ordinarily difficult to reach, in a fast and convenient manner.
COATING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING WEB WITH COATING FILM
Provided is a coating device for coating a web that is traveling with coating liquid. The coating device includes: a coating bar extending in a web width direction; a partition disposed below an axial center of the coating bar in a vertical direction, the partition extending in the web width direction; and an upstream container and a downstream container disposed on an upstream side and a downstream side in a web conveyance direction, respectively, with the partition interposed between the upstream container and the downstream container, the upstream container and the downstream container including side plates disposed inward in the web width direction with respect to both ends of the partition on a web width direction side, the upstream container and the downstream container being configured to store the coating liquid.
Roll coating using metered coating roll including deformable layers
Methods and apparatuses for roll coating are provided. The roll coating system (100) includes a coating roll (110) having a deformable inner layer (12) with a surface thereof covered by a deformable outer layer (14), the inner layer being softer than the outer layer. A substrate (3) is conveyed to the nip (12) between the coating roll and a back-up roll (120). A metered coating material is transferred from the coating roll to a patterned surface structure (40) of the substrate at the nip to form a conformal coating on the patterned structure of the substrate.
Coating device and coating method
A coating device for the register-accurate application of plastic material to a carrier sheet comprises a first coating roll and a downstream second coating roll, wherein each of the first and second coating rolls has at least one cavity that can be filled with plastic material by means of at least one nozzle. First and second stripping means strip the respective first and second coating rolls. The first coating roll interacts with a first mating roll and coats a first carrier sheet side and the second coating roll interacts with a second mating roll and coats a second carrier sheet side. The second mating roll comprises at least one mating cavity corresponding to the at least one first cavity. In addition, the coating device comprises at least one carrier sheet positioning device and a coated region detection device. Related methods of coating a carrier sheet are also disclosed.
Ultraviolet bottom coating system
An ultraviolet bottom coating system including a conveyor mechanism configured to route a plurality of cans in a machine direction, wherein the plurality of cans each have a bottom surface and uncured coating material applied on the bottom surface. The system also includes at least one ultraviolet light-emitting diode (UV-LED) device configured to emit ultraviolet radiation towards the plurality of cans, wherein the ultraviolet radiation is configured to cure the uncured coating material onto the bottom surface.
Systems and methods for applying dots of different adhesives to moving roofing shingle stock
Systems and methods of applying self-seal strips of multiple different adhesives are disclosed. In one embodiment, two spaced apart spoked applicator wheel assemblies are positioned beneath a web of moving shingle stock such that each of the applicator wheels applies dots of different adhesives in an alternating pattern. In other embodiments, a layer of a second adhesive is deposited onto previously applied dots of a first adhesive to form layered adhesive dots with dual properties of both adhesives.
