Adhesive dispensing device
A layered object manufacturing system is described. The system is one arrangement provides for the use of water based adhesives to bind successive layers of paper in generation of a three dimensional model. The paper can be provided in conventional paper sizes and is moveable within the system from a storage stack to a build object location, individual pages at a time. The system typically effects the application of adhesive onto the paper using an adhesive applicator wheel having a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart recesses for receiving adhesive. The wheel is rotatable to convey adhesive filled in one or more recesses to a target substrate and to deposit controlled amounts of adhesive at discrete points thereon.
Girth weld coater
A girth weld coating machine has an application head rotatable about a pipeline. A reservoir of coating material is carried on the application head and progressively dispenses coating material on to the girth weld. The coating material is applied to the pipe surface by a roller to spread and distribute the coating over the surface.
Brushes for delivering glutinous substance to workpiece from end-effector
A brush for delivering a glutinous substance to a workpiece from an end-effector is disclosed. The brush comprises a body, having a rotational axis and comprising a first channel that comprises an inlet and a first outlet. The inlet is coaxial with the rotational axis and the first outlet is offset from the rotational axis. The brush also comprises tufts, extending from the body and each comprising at least one bristle and a tip. The brush further comprises a first tube, communicatively coupled with the first outlet of the first channel of the body.
PAPER, LABELS MADE THEREFROM AND METHODS OF MAKING PAPER AND LABELS
Paper is disclosed for use in making repositionable or removable adhesive labels. The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. The adhesive can be applied in single or multiple layers. The paper is light weight paper and preferably thermal paper for use in POS printers.

DUAL PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET FOR INSTORE SIGNAGE
A tandem system of metering and donor rolls is used to apply two different adhesives to a fully adhesive backed multilayer sheet to produce variably distributed adhesives and properties. Each of the two adhesives is unique and is cured differently to create a layer of adhesive that has differing adhesive properties on the sheet. A clear adhesive is applied to a top portion of cards before they are cut from the sheet and has a higher tackiness than the adhesive applied to the rest of the cards on the sheet in order to reduce glue buildup on blades cutting the cards from the sheet.

Method for applying polymer patches onto a substrate
The invention relates to a method for applying polymer patches, in particular from polymer electrode material, on a carrier substrate, including the following method steps: a) plasticizing the polymer electrode material to form a melt, b) feeding the plasticized polymer electrode material via at least one die to a heated, structured roller or to a heated, structured conveyor belt, wherein the roller and/or the conveyor belt have recesses that correspond to the dimensions of the patches to be applied, c) applying the plasticized polymer electrode material on a carrier substrate by bringing the roller and/or the conveyor belt in contact with a carrier substrate.
Autonomous painting robot
An autonomous machine for the application of paint to a targeted application area. The autonomous machine operates with complete autonomy to paint a room without guidance or intervention. The autonomous machine includes a propulsion system to generate movement along a surface, a sensor system that generate signals representative of conditions during the painting to a targeted application area, and a control system that is in communication with the propulsion system and applicator system. In operation the autonomous machine automatically moves to and along walls that need to be painted. The autonomous machine detects the boundaries of the walls. A sensor head on the autonomous machine scans the walls, detecting and accommodating for any obstacles such as windows and windows trim present on the walls. Pressurized paint is then moved from a reservoir in the autonomous machine to the applicator and the applicator begins applying paint to the targeted application area.
