Disclosed is a method of applying a coating to a glass sleeve with an inner surface and an outer surface, the glass sleeve configured as a part of a solar-receiver tube. Thereby, the coating is solely applied to one of the surfaces of the glass sleeve. Also disclosed is a method of fixing such glass sleeve in an interior of a coating tank, such coating tank and a fixing arrangement for fixing such glass sleeve in an interior of a coating tank.

A positioning method for balloon coating by which the thickness, morphological form and the like of a drug in a coating formed on a balloon can be suitably set. This method is a positioning method for balloon coating for forming a coating layer containing a water-insoluble drug on an outer surface of a balloon of a balloon catheter. The positioning method includes a positioning step in which the dispensing tube is positioned in such a manner that a virtual position at which an opening portion would be located if the dispensing tube is assumed to be non-flexible is located within the range of 0 degrees to 40 degrees from the reference plane toward the rotating direction side of the balloon, in a region extending from the reference plane in a direction opposite to the discharge direction of the dispensing tube.
FLUID APPLICATION DEVICE HAVING A MODULAR CONTACT NOZZLE WITH A FLUIDIC OSCILLATOR
A fluid application device includes an applicator head and a nozzle assembly fluidically coupled to the applicator head. The nozzle assembly includes a first conduit configured to receive a first fluid from the applicator head, the first conduit having a first inlet configured to receive the first fluid and a flow-distributing channel downstream from, and in fluid communication with the fluid inlet, the flow-distributing channel configured to direct the first fluid in a lateral direction. The nozzle assembly further includes an application conduit having a first fluid receiving section configured to receive the first fluid from the flow-distributing channel, and an orifice fluidically connected to the application conduit, the orifice configured to discharge the first fluid for application onto a strand of material.

A tip end face of a body part 13 is provided at a part in front of a discharge port with respect to a rotational direction of a worm wheel 2 with a protruding part 16, and a tip end face of the protruding part 16 is provided with a grease-pushing surface part 17 configured to push grease into concave portions of a worm wheel teeth 3 while raking and leveling the grease so that the grease is substantially uniform in a width direction and in a circumferential direction of the worm wheel teeth 3. Also, the tip end face of the body part 13 is provided at a rear part of the discharge port with respect to the rotational direction of the worm wheel 2 with a protruding wall part 18 for preventing the grease 1 from moving rearwards with respect to the rotational direction of the worm wheel 2.
Roll coating process and apparatus
The invention relates to a roll coating process for applying a coating layer on a non-continuous sheet, comprising the steps of 1) applying a liquid coating composition to the top surface of the sheet by passing the sheet horizontally between an applicator roll and a backing roll; 2) forwarding the coated sheet with a coated sheet forwarder; wherein forwarding is interrupted after passing the applicator roll while maintaining a meniscus of liquid coating composition between stopped sheet and rotating applicator roll, and forwarding is restarted when the meniscus has disappeared. With this process it is possible to make sheets coated with an optical coating like an anti-reflective coating, which sheets show markedly smaller and less visible edge defects, especially at the trailing edge. The invention also relates to a roll coating apparatus suitable for operating the process of the invention, which apparatus comprises at least an applicator roll, a backing roll, a coated sheet forwarder, and control means to operate the sheet forwarder depending on the position of a sheet in the apparatus.

The invention relates to an impregnation device for trickle impregnation of a stator of an electric machine with a synthetic resin which cures under an increase in temperature, the stator having a hollow cylindrical stator core and at least one winding, a drive shaft being arranged coaxially inside the stator and being drivable by a drive motor, at least one holding device being arranged on the drive shaft, by means of which holding device the stator can be detachably connected to the drive shaft.
Thread-coating module with ink management system
A thread-coating module includes: a coating chamber having a thread entrance at one end and a thread exit at an opposite end thereof; and an inkjet printhead positioned in a printhead opening of the coating chamber for ejecting ink onto thread fed through the coating chamber. The coating chamber has an ink management system positioned opposite the printhead for managing excess ink. The ink management system includes: an inner ink-collection slot in fluid communication with a drain port for recycling excess ink and an outer aerosol-collection chamber fluidically connected to a vacuum port.
Method for dispensing controlled patterns of liquid material
A liquid dispensing module and nozzle or die tip for discharging at least one liquid filament. The nozzle includes a strand guide for guiding a substrate past the nozzle and a frustoconical protrusion disposed on a surface of the nozzle adjacent the notch. A liquid discharge passage extends along an axis through the frustoconical protrusion and forms an acute angle with a machine direction corresponding to movement of the strand past the nozzle. Four air discharge passages are positioned at the base of the frustoconical protrusion. Each of the air discharge passages is angled in a compound manner generally toward the liquid discharge passage and offset from the axis of the liquid discharge passage to create the controlled pattern of liquid material on the strand.

A nozzle is configured to discharge a fluid containing a raw material of a catalytic layer to a substrate having first and second end faces and provided with holes each extending from the first end face to the second end face. The nozzle is provided with discharge ports each discharging the fluid toward the first end face of the substrate.
Adhesive applicator
An apparatus for applying adhesive to both ends of each of a pair of rails for adhesive attachment to posts for example of a door includes a support head with two channels and center fence for supporting the rails in parallel position for presenting the ends side by side vertically upwardly to an adhesive applicator head with a nozzle guided by a three axis movable support. The support head is rotatable through 180 degrees about a transverse axis so as to present the other ends and there is provided a drive system defined by set of drive rollers for driving the rails up to an end stop position at which the presented ends are at the adhesive applicator head. A laser sensor detects the end profile to ensure that the adhesive pattern matches a preselected required layout and to ensure no contact between the nozzle and the profile.
