Rotational Applicator
An applicator that includes a body with a first end, an opposing second end, and an intermediate flange. An arm is connected to and extends radially outward from the body. During use, viscous material is positioned on the surface of the workpiece outward away from an opening. The first end of the applicator is inserted into the opening and a bottom side of the flange contacts against the surface of the workpiece. The arm is positioned relative to the flange to be above the surface of the workpiece with a gap formed between the bottom side of the arm and the workpiece. The applicator is rotated causing the arm to move around the opening and spread the viscous material across the surface of the workpiece.

The present invention relates to a device for manufacturing three-dimensional models by means of a 3D printing process, whereby a build platform for application of build material is provided and a support frame is arranged around the build platform, to which said support frame at least one device for dosing the particulate material and one device for bonding the particulate material is attached via the guiding elements and the support frame is moveable in a Z direction, which essentially means perpendicular to the base surface of the build platform. In so doing, the device provides a material feeding device having a particle material container to supply particulate material in batches from the storage area to the dosing apparatus and to do so with the least possible amount of shearing forces and without significant interaction with the atmosphere.

A dimensionally stable universal floor covering includes a tufted textile substrate and a reinforcement layer to provide dimensional stability for the entire floor covering. Vacuum, mixing, and injection of compressed air assists in preparing an adhesive and fiber composition to be in the preferred condition and position before the application of pressure to form the reinforcement layer. The universal floor covering is selectively cut and transported in a roll for installation, and it can be conveniently recycled if necessary.

Floor covering with universal backing and methods of making and recycling
A dimensionally stable floor covering, comprising a tufted textile substrate and a reinforcement layer wherein vacuum is used to move adhesive into stitch portions of the yarns and into the back side of the primary backing substrate to provide increased dimensional stability for the entire floor covering. Mixing of reinforcement fibers and adhesive takes place before in situ filtration of the adhesive and fibers. Further, compressed air is injected into the adhesive/fiber composition to provide spaces between the fibers before application of pressure to the composition. The vacuum, mixing, and injection of compressed air assist in preparing the adhesive and fiber composition to be in the preferred condition and position before the application of pressure to the composition.

The disclosure relates to a spreading unit having a shaper for spreading viscous material, in particular sealing material, on a component, wherein the shaper has a first shaping contour for shaping the viscous material in the process of the spreading, wherein at least a second shaping contour of the shaper for shaping the viscous material can be brought by means of an actuator, in a direction of spreading, into superimposition with the first shaping contour, so that a shape of the shaper is adjustable during an application process.
