Die head apparatus, coating method, and laminated body forming apparatus
A die head apparatus is provided with a front blade, a rear blade, a center blade, and an internal impurity removal space. The front blade and the center blade are configured to form a pool of a slurry. The internal impurity removal space is positioned between the center blade and the rear blade. A distance separating the rear blade and the substrate is set to be smaller than the distance separating the center blade and the substrate.
Glue dam seal assembly
The invention relates to a glue dam seal assembly for a glue application installation of a corrugated board plant. The glue dam seal assembly comprises a support installation and a first glue dam sealing element for tight disposal on a first roller. The first glue dam sealing element is pivotable in relation to the support installation. The glue dam seal assembly furthermore has a first urging installation for urging the first glue dam sealing element onto the first roller upon generating a first urging force acting on the first glue dam sealing element.
Viscous fluid supply device
A flux unit includes a flux supply device configured to eject flux to a storage tray, an ejection port configured to eject the flux, and an ejection port moving device configured to move the ejection port in the radial direction of the storage tray. By this, the flux is ejected in a wide range in the radial direction of the storage tray. Also, the storage tray is rotated by a tray rotation device. Thus, the film thickness of the flux ejected in the wide range of the storage tray is adjusted by a squeegee all at once. Thus, the time required for adjusting the film thickness of the flux can be reduced.

High speed sealant strip application
An applicator is disclosed for applying sealant to a moving substrate. The applicator includes a wheel having a periphery. A plurality of spaced apart footprints extends around the periphery of the wheel and each footprint has a sealant receiving feature. A reservoir is provided for containing a supply of sealant to be applied to the moving substrate. The wheel is rotatably mounted at least partially in the reservoir such that as the wheel rotates, each of the spaced apart footprints repeatedly moves through a supply of sealant in the reservoir to pick up a charge of sealant, around one side of the wheel toward the moving substrate, adjacent the moving substrate to transfer the sealant charge to the substrate, and around the other side of the wheel back toward the supply of sealant. At least one stop is formed on each of the footprints for inhibiting sealant picked up by the footprint from being urged rearwardly on the footprint by high speed rotation of the wheel. A backstop may be formed at a trailing end of each footprint and mid-stops may be formed between a leading end of each footprint and the trailing end.
Patching compound dispenser-applicator
A refillable combination patching compound dispenser and applicator has a generally cone-shaped container having a normally open end through which patching compound is introduced, a closed end terminating in a tip, a dispensing aperture disposed through the side-wall of container, proximate the tip, and a disc-shaped applicator having a center opening in communication with the dispensing aperture through which patching compound is dispensed. The apparatus is ergonomically shaped to fit easily in the palm of the user's hand and includes a fingertip rest opposite the dispensing aperture to facilitate application of patching compound in any direction over the substrate surface.

Device and method for making shear-aligned, solvent-cast films
A coating head includes a coating device and at least a first flexible blade that is capable of being shaped into contact with a solvent-containing film on a substrate upon pressing the first flexible blade against the film, thereby providing contact between the blade and the film over a contact distance when the coating head is drawn over the substrate. The coating device and the blade are separated by a spacing distance such that partial loss of solvent occurs from a starting film formed on the substrate by the coating device as the coating head is drawn over the substrate, the partial solvent loss forming the solvent-containing film. A method of producing a film having a hierarchical structure includes drawing a coating head across a substrate to form on the substrate via the coating device a starting film including a solvent and a material for forming the hierarchical structure.
Blade attachment tool and blade support structure
A blade attachment tool includes a first support member supported by a pressing support portion supporting a blade formed of an elastic member configured to wipe/scrape liquid/solids spreading on an abutment surface by being pressed against the abutment surface and being long in one direction such that the blade is pressed against the abutment surface with a predetermined pressing force, a second support member supported to swing about a swing shaft extending in a longitudinal direction of the blade with respect to the first support member and configured such that a base end side of the blade is attached thereto, and an energizing member configured to apply a reaction force to a friction force that causes the second support member to swing about the swing shaft with respect to the first support member when the blade is pressed against the abutment surface to slide relatively to the abutment surface.
Component mounting body manufacturing system and component mounting body manufacturing method
A workpiece holding body holding a workpiece having a three-dimensional shape is swung around a lateral swing axis to position the workpiece so that one mounting surface of the workpiece faces a predetermined worked direction and a viscous substance is printed on the one mounting surface of the workpiece which is positioned. The workpiece holding body is swung around the swing axis to position the workpiece so that another mounting surface of the workpiece in which the viscous substance is printed on one mounting surface faces the worked direction and to print the viscous substance on the other mounting surface of the workpiece which is positioned.
