Method and device for hot-dip coating a metal strip with a metal covering
The invention relates to a device and a method for hot-dip coating a metal strip with a metal covering, wherein the metal strip is directed continuously through a melt bath, wherein the thickness of the metal covering present on the metal strip when it leaves the melt bath is adjusted by means of a scraping device, and wherein slag which is present on the melt bath is driven away from the metal strip leaving the melt bath by means of a gas flow. To prevent slag from coming into contact with the metal strip leaving the melt bath, the invention drives away the slag from the metal strip by means of at least one nozzle which is arranged in close proximity to the metal strip, that a gas flow which extends over the width of the metal strip is directed onto the surface of the melt bath.
ROLL TO ROLL FABRICATION APPARATUS
A roll to roll fabrication apparatus includes an injection plate for injecting a chemical treatment liquid on a film transferred from a supplying roll to a collecting roll; and liquid blocking rolls disposed between the supplying roll and the collecting roll, and configured to prevent the chemical treatment liquid injected from the injection plate from being introduced to another process region.
Wiping nozzle of hot-dip metal plating equipment and wiping position control device for hot-dip metal plating equipment
The present invention reduces the amount of gas consumed, edge-overcoating and splashing and adjusts plating thickness with high precision by providing a wiping nozzle with: thin plates, which are each inserted into a lip from the entrances to the lip for a specified distance to the inside of the two ends of the lip in the sheet width direction in order to seal the gas jet where the thin plates are inserted, and which are movable in the sheet width direction of the lip; and ropes extending in the sheet width direction of the lip so as to track the movements of the thin plates and seal the gas jet in a specified range.

Air skive with vapor injection
A web transport system for transporting a web of media along a web transport path in an in-track direction, including a liquid application system for applying a liquid to at least one surface of the web of media. An air skive is positioned along the web transport path downstream of the liquid application system, wherein the air skive directs one or more streams of air onto the web of media thereby removing at least some of the liquid that is being carried along with the web of media. A vapor source adds a vapor into the one or more streams of air provided by the air skive before the one or more streams of air are directed onto the web of media.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING A CORROSION-RESISTANT COATING TO FASTENERS
A method of applying a corrosion-resistant coating to a fastener that includes preheating an area of the fastener to be coated to elevate a temperature of the area and spraying the preheated area of the fastener with a molten or semi-molten metal. In one embodiment, a corrosion-resistant coating applicator includes a support structure, a rotatable slotted fastener conveyer supported by the support structure, a feeder configured to feed fasteners to the rotatable slotted fastener conveyer, a fastener aligner configured to make head portions of the fasteners aligned with each other, a heater configured to heat head portions of the fasteners as the fasteners are being conveyed by the slotted fastener conveyer, and a sprayer configured to apply a corrosion-resistant coating to the heated head portions of the fasteners being conveyed by the slotted fastener conveyer. The present disclosure also provides corrosion-resistant coated fasteners made using the coating methods and/or coating apparatus.
Device for producing coated steel sheet and method for producing coated steel sheet
A device for producing a coated steel sheet includes: a blowing-off unit which sprays a gas onto and remove an excessive coating that accumulates along a side edge of a steel sheet that threads along one direction; and a coating-collection unit which collects the excessive coating removed by the blowing-off unit. The blowing-off unit includes a spray nozzle and a gas supply member. The coating-collection unit includes a duct and a coating container. In a case where the duct is seen in a plan view, an outlet thereof is disposed to fit in and overlap an inside of an opening of the coating container, and in a case where the duct is seen in a side view, a gap is provided between the outlet and the opening of the coating container.

Method, treatment station and assembly for treating a planar material to be treated
In order to remove treatment liquid (21) from a planar material to be treated (10), which is transported in an assembly for the electrolytic or wet-chemical treatment of the material to be treated (10), or to promote the exchange of material on the surface of the material to be treated (10), a roll with a roll surface (4, 14) is provided. The roll surface (4, 14) is arranged relative to a transport path of the material to be treated (10) so that a gap (8, 18) remains between the roll surface (4, 14) and a useful region of the material to be treated (10) opposing the roll surface (4, 14), which extends over the useful region. The roll is driven rotatably so that at the gap (8, 18) a relative speed is produced between the roll surface (4, 14) and the material to be treated (10).
