SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING LIQUID ADHESIVE FLOW
A hot melt adhesive system includes an adhesive supply for receiving solid or semi-solid hot melt adhesive, and a heater associated with the adhesive supply for melting the solid or semi-solid hot melt adhesive into liquid hot melt adhesive. An adhesive tracking system monitors an output of the liquid hot melt adhesive, and includes a flow meter having a flow inlet and a flow outlet. The flow meter measures an amount of the adhesive flowing out of the flow outlet. A product detector may be used to sense a presence of a product to which the adhesive is applied. A controller then determines the total amount of the liquid adhesive dispensed and the average amount of liquid adhesive dispensed per product.
Liquid material dispensing system having a sleeve heater
A dispensing system receives liquid material and process air. The dispensing system includes a manifold body having a liquid material passage and a process air passage. The dispensing system includes a heating member received in the manifold body. The heating member has an upper portion, a lower portion, an outer surface, and a groove in the outer surface. The groove may extend between the upper portion and the lower portion and form at least a portion of the process air passage. The dispensing system may further include a nozzle configured to dispense the liquid material. The heating member may be configured to heat the process air as the process air passes through the groove and heat the liquid material through contact of the outer surface of the heating member with the manifold body.
LIQUID ADHESIVE DISPENSING SYSTEM
A dispenser for dispensing a liquid onto a substrate is disclosed. The dispenser includes a liquid supply and a dispenser module. The dispenser module includes a nozzle body having an inlet, an outlet, and a chamber for receiving the liquid. The dispenser module also includes a central valve body attached to the nozzle body that defines a piston chamber and a valve member having a piston portion disposed within the piston chamber of the central valve body and a needle portion extending form the piston portion into the chamber of the nozzle body. The dispenser further includes a heater block for heating the nozzle body. The heater block defines a liquid passage for transporting liquid from the liquid supply to the dispenser, a first surface of the heater block directly contacts the nozzle body, and the entirety of the central valve body is spaced from the heater block.
Heated Hose For Delivering A Liquid Adhesive
A heated hose for delivering a liquid, in particular for delivering an adhesive has a flexible hose for the passage of the liquid, an insulating layer surrounding the flexible hose, and a heating device surrounding the flexible hose. The heating device is arranged between the flexible hose and the insulating layer. The insulating layer has a strip-shaped insulating material that is wound helically around the flexible hose. The strip-shaped insulating material contains an aerogel.
System, method, and apparatus for hot melt adhesive application
A hot melt adhesive applicator with one or more air outlets configured to direct a pressurized heated air stream transversely toward hot melt adhesive discharged through a discharge port of the applicator. A controller can switch between two modes, a discharge completion mode where the heated air stream pressure is temporarily increased to automatically eliminate or reduce hot melt adhesive stringing and an application mode where the heated air stream assists in heating or maintaining the hot melt adhesive at or above melt temperature.
PRINTED ELASTOMERIC ELEMENTS
An article of manufacture, such as a weighted blanket, a cushioning element, or the like, includes an elastomeric element that includes elongated elements that follow nonlinear, partially overlapping paths and voids between adjacent portions of the elongated elements. Such an elastomeric element may define a weighted layer of a weighted blanket, a cushioning layer of a cushioning element of the like. The elastomeric element may be secured directly to a substrate, such as a fabric layer. Alternatively, an adhesion layer may secure the elastomeric element to the substrate. An adhesion layer may cover only a portion of the substrate. A cover may be provided over the elastomeric element. Together, the cover and the substrate may contain the elastomeric element.
ADAPTER FOR HOT-MELT ADHESIVE DISPENSER AND SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME
An adapter is configured to be mounted onto or otherwise coupled to a hot-melt adhesive dispenser. The adapter may include a body defining at least a first inlet channel, a second inlet channel, and a feed channel. The first inlet channel is configured to receive a first adhesive. The second inlet channel is configured to receive a second adhesive. The feed channel is configured to direct at least one of the first adhesive or the second adhesive to the hot-melt adhesive dispenser.
Adhesive dispensing system and method with melt on demand at point of dispensing
An adhesive dispensing system and method are configured to melt adhesive on demand and maintain the adhesive in a liquid state between dispensing cycles. The dispensing system includes a dispensing applicator with a manifold passage, a receiving device including a receiving chamber for holding a small amount of solid adhesive at the dispensing applicator and a first heating device for melting the adhesive on demand, and a second heating device at the manifold to maintain the temperature of the melted adhesive before dispensing. The second heating device applies heat energy to maintain the adhesive in the manifold passage as a liquid.
HEATABLE HIGH PRESSURE CLEANING APPLIANCE
A heatable high pressure cleaning appliance is provided with an undercarriage and a housing lower part, arranged on the undercarriage, in which a motor and a pump driven by the motor for pressurizing water are arranged, and with a fuel-operated heat exchanger for heating the water and a fuel tank for storing liquid fuel for the heat exchanger. In order to further develop the heatable high pressure cleaning appliance in such a way that it has a high mechanical stability and is producible in a cost-effective manner, it is proposed that the fuel tank is configured as a one-piece plastic hollow body, which forms the housing lower part and is held on a rigid support frame, wherein the support frame forms a shock protector that at least partially surrounds the fuel tank in the circumferential direction.
HEATED SEAM PUMP
A system for applying adhesive to wrapping material for smoking articles includes a housing configured to receive the adhesive from an adhesive holding component. The housing comprises an adhesive conduit in fluid communication with the adhesive holding component, the adhesive conduit configured to receive the adhesive from the adhesive holding component. A heater aperture extends at least partially through the housing, the heater aperture positioned adjacent to the adhesive conduit. The system further includes a pump coupled to the housing, the pump in fluid communication with the adhesive conduit and configured to apply the adhesive to the wrapping material. A heater is sized and configured to fit within the heater aperture. The heater is configured to heat the adhesive in the adhesive conduit to a target adhesive temperature that is greater than a normal operating temperature of the pump.
