Positioning method for balloon coating
A method is disclosed for forming a coating layer on an outer surface of a balloon of a balloon catheter. The method includes supplying a coating solution containing a drug and a solvent through an end portion of a flexible dispensing tube with an opening portion for discharging the coating solution through the end portion of the flexible dispensing tube; keeping in contact an opening portion-formed end portion side of the dispensing tube with the outer surface of the balloon in such a manner as to be oriented in a direction opposite to a rotating direction of the balloon; rotating the balloon about an axis of the balloon; and discharging the coating solution through the opening portion and applying the coating solution to the outer surface of the balloon while the dispensing tube is moved relative to the balloon in an axial direction of the balloon.
SPHERICAL CORE SPRAYING TOOL
A spherical core spraying tool comprises a spraying spindle and connecting rods; the spraying spindle is circumferentially provided with a plurality of protruding rings, and is axially provided with a strip-shaped groove; the connecting rods are disposed in the groove; one end of the spraying spindle is a power input end, and the other end is provided with a locking sleeve; the groove runs through the protruding rings. By spot-welding steel balls in an inner hole of a spherical core and fitting the spherical core over the spraying spindle, the steel balls are stuck in the groove of the spraying spindle, and the both sides of the steel balls are tightened by means of the connecting rods in abutting-against fashion, so that a plurality of spherical cores is fixed together with the spraying spindle, and the plurality of spherical cores can be spray-coated simultaneously, thereby improving the efficiency.

The method for filling seal caps includes carrying out the filling of the seal caps using an automated process, wherein positioning a filling unit and/or positioning the seal caps by means of movement in an XYZ coordinate system as well as filling the seal caps is automated, and wherein the seal caps are positioned on a support plate.

A balloon coating method and a balloon coating apparatus are disclosed by which the thickness and/or morphological form of a drug in a coating formed on a balloon can be appropriately set. The balloon coating method can include moving a coating section for applying a coating liquid containing a drug relative to the balloon in the direction of an axis, while rotating the balloon about the axis of the balloon, thereby to apply the coating liquid to an outer surface of the balloon; detecting the distance of a dried part where the coating liquid applied to the outer surface of the balloon has been dried from the coating section; and controlling moving velocity of the coating section relative to the balloon in such a manner that the distance of the dried part from the coating section is maintained at a preliminarily set designated distance.
Fluid Application Device
A fluid application device for mechanical fasteners such as rivets, screws, bolts, and similar fasteners, and a robot end effector including such a device as well as a robot being equipped therewith. The fluid application device includes a fluid application element having a curved application surface, wherein the curved application surface includes a channel configured to receive a fluid. A brush is arranged at the curved application surface such that the fluid is able to wet the brush elements. The device further includes a gripping device configured to push a mechanical fastener against the wetted brush elements.

A method of managing reuse of a returnable bottle is disclosed. The method individually manages returnable bottles so as to manage reuse linked with their individual states of use and thereby enable reusable bottles to be separated from other bottles in a scientific manner. The method comprises, at the time of new production of a returnable bottle body, forming on a bottle body surface a product identification mark part engraved with an identification code as product identification data of the bottle body, reading the product identification mark part and writing and storing the product, identification data of the bottle body in the storage medium linked with individual transport state data relating to transport of the bottle body, and judging permission for continued reuse of the bottle body based on the individual transport state data stored in the storage medium.

A balloon coating method for forming a coating layer on the outer surface of a balloon of a balloon catheter includes: inserting a core member into a guide wire lumen penetrating the balloon, disposing a proximal portion of the core member on a proximal side of a region of inflation of the balloon, with a distal portion of the core member protruded distally beyond a distal opening portion of the guide wire lumen, and fixing by clamping together with the core member a part of the balloon catheter that is on a distal side of the region of inflation; and moving a dispensing tube for supplying a coating liquid containing the drug relative to the balloon in an axial direction of the balloon, while rotating the balloon about an axis of the balloon, thereby to apply the coating liquid to the outer surface of the balloon.

A vacuum chuck adapted for mounting on a lower turret assembly. The lower turret assembly is part a sealant liner applicator. The sealant liner applicator includes an upper turret assembly and a sealant gun, under computer control. The sealant gun is used for applying a sealant around a periphery of an inside of a can or jar lid. The vacuum chuck includes in one embodiment an impeller, with spiral vanes, for creating vacuum air. The impeller is mounted on top of a lower chuck. A top portion of the impeller is adapted for receiving the can lid and held thereon using the vacuum air produced when the impeller and the lower chuck are spun at high speeds, in a range of 1000 to 4000 rpm, on a lower turret assembly.
