More specifically, described is an individualized sensor device and system to prevent tissue damage resulting from, for example, pressure, torsion, temperature, shear, altered blood flow, reduced oxygen tension, pH levels, tissue conductivity, tissue viscoelasticity, infection and sweat chloride levels. In particular embodiments, the systems, devices and related methods are used for preventing ambulation and mobility related plantar tissue related damage and immobilizing tissues.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING CORE BODY TEMPERATURE

A method for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may involve delivering heat to a first location on a limb of the patient, delivering heat to a second location on the limb, apart from the first location, and applying intermittent compression to a third location on the limb, located between the first location and the second location. A device for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may include a sleeve for positioning over at least part of one of the patient's limbs, first and second heat delivery members coupled with the sleeve, and an intermittent compression member coupled with the sleeve between the first and second heat delivery members.

DERMAL APPLICATOR DEVICE

As shown in FIG. 2, a dermal applicator device (20) comprising includes a housing (22) having a retainer (45) configured to hold and engage positively a spherical surface. A reservoir contains a liquid (28), with the reservoir contained within a shell (26) that is at least partially spherical but at least has curved surfaces supporting rotation. The shell is configured to be engaged within the retainer (45) to permit relative rotation of the shell (26) with respect to the housing (22). The liquid may be a salt solution, a gel composition or a polyol. The liquid is selected to have at least one of a freezing point below 0 C. and a specific latent heat of fusion higher than that of water. Preferably, the shell further includes an outwardly protruding lug (32) extending from its surface, and the housing is configured to form an orbital chamber (52) between an inner surface thereof and the shell (26) when the shell is retained in the retainer (45). The protruding lug (32) is constrained within the orbital chamber (52) such that rotation of the shell relative to the housing is restricted. By reducing the temperature of the retained salt solution or gel to below freezing, rotation of the shell locally massages skin brought into contact with the shell causing vasoconstriction and/or vasodilation which encourages vascular micro-circulation in the skin tissue.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR BODY FLUID STIMULATION
20180229048 · 2018-08-16 ·

A method of soft tissue treatment of a patient includes placing a treatment sleeve with at least one first treatment energy source onto the patient. Massage of the patient's soft tissue is provided by at least one massage unit, with the massage unit including at least two pressure changing elements applied on the patient's soft tissue. An additional or second treatment therapy, different from the massage, is provided by a second treatment energy source. The massage unit creates a pressure gradient between at least two successive elements changing a pressure value in range from 0% to 95% on the patient's soft tissue across a treated body area and stimulates body liquid flow.

Ear stimulation with neural feedback sensing

Systems and related methods for delivering a stimulus to a pinna of a subject with a stimulator worn on the pinna are described. A wearable stimulation device includes a mechanical, electrical, or other type of stimulator secured to a pinna of a subject. The stimulation device may be used to deliver a stimulus that modulates activity of sensory nerve fiber innervating the pinna. Stimulation may be delivered in response to a sensed neural signal indicative of a physiological status of the subject, and/or in response to sensed environmental parameters. Stimulation may be delivered in combination with other stimuli or experiences. In an aspect, a stimulator communicates with and/or is controlled by a personal computing device.

Acupressure apparatus

An acupressure apparatus including a manually adjustable head strap, with a flexible material, extending around the circumference of a user's head, and which can be manually adjusted using any of the following: a hook segment; a loop segment; a button; a buttonhole; a snap; and a snap receptacle. The acupressure apparatus includes a rigid protrusion with a rigid material formed into an essentially domed shape. The protrusion can be affixed to a point of the head strap such that the dome faces the user's glabella. When the user manually adjusts the length of the head strap, the rigid protrusion applies pressure on the user's glabella.
