The first tool includes a first base housing that is selectively engageable with the removable battery pack and a first tool portion connected to the first base housing by a first connecting section. The second tool includes a second base housing that is selectively engageable with the removable battery pack and a second tool portion connected to the second base housing by a second connecting section. The second tool base housing houses a second controller that provides a proportional power delivery system for the second tool and second tool base housing also includes a second actuator for providing user control of the second tool.

A method includes obtaining a first roofing material and a second roofing material and obtaining a device. The device includes a fastening mechanism to secure a roofing material to a roofing substrate and/or an underlying roofing material and an adhesive mechanism to apply an adhesive to a surface of the roofing material. The fastening mechanism includes a frame, a magazine of fasteners, and a trigger. The adhesive mechanism includes a container having a nozzle, wherein the container houses the adhesive and the nozzle dispenses the adhesive. The method includes positioning the first roofing material onto the roofing substrate and/or the underlying roofing material, securing the first roofing material to the roofing substrate and/or the underlying roofing material with the fastening mechanism, dispensing the adhesive from the adhesive mechanism onto the surface of the first roofing material, and contacting the second roofing material and the first roofing material such that the adhesive is between the second roofing material and the first roofing material.

A nozzle for an applicator by which a flowable viscous material suitable for forming a liquid applied sound deadener can be distributed, the nozzle comprising: a proximal end releasably coupled to the applicator and having an end side in which a single proximal opening is formed; a distal end opposing the proximal end and having an end side in which a single distal opening is formed; and an interior hollow chamber defined between the proximal end and the distal end and in fluid communication with both the proximal opening and the distal opening, the nozzle being configured such that when being distributed by the nozzle, the flowable viscous material can be supplied from the proximal end to the distal end and discharged out of the distal opening, and the distal opening has a straight edge and a sawtooth-shaped or sine-shaped or wave-shaped edge opposing the straight edge.
