A control method of an electromechanical apparatus (10) for installing a plunger tip (31) in a syringe (21), the control method comprising: providing a syringe (21) with at least one opening (22); providing a plunger tip (31) configured for snug insertion in the opening (22); pushing the plunger tip (31) inside the syringe (21), by a pusher rod (60) of the electromechanical apparatus (10), the plunger tip (31) passing through an intermediate cannula element (50); monitoring over time a force exchanged between the plunger tip (31) and the pusher rod (60), providing a force signal (401, 402, 403, 404) by a force detector (61) of the electromechanical apparatus (10); analyzing the force signal (401, 402, 403, 404) to determine an installation status of the plunger tip (31) in the syringe (21).

A cartridge usable in a viscous-material dispenser includes a cylinder, a plunger in the cylinder, and a plurality of ribs extending radially from an outer surface of the plunger to an inner surface of the cylinder. The ribs are circumferentially separated by a plurality of clearances, and the ribs and the clearances extend in an axial direction. Each of the plurality of clearances is defined by two adjacent ribs. The ribs and clearances are configured to allow the venting of gas through the clearances during a beginning of a cartridge filling operation and to impede the movement of the viscous material through the clearances during a remainder of the cartridge filling operation such that, at an end of the cartridge filling operation, the ribs and bodies of the viscous material in the clearances form an airtight seal between the plunger and the cylinder.

The present invention provides a plunger (20) for a dispenser, the plunger including a large diameter body portion (23) provided with ring-shaped contact surfaces (24, 25) that contact an inner wall surface of a syringe, a rear opening (26) formed in a backside of the large diameter body portion (23), and a small diameter body portion (22) provided with a front opening (28), wherein the front opening (28) is formed in a size allowing a liquid material to be directly pressed by pressurized air, and allowing at least the plunger (20) to move following a fall in water head position, which is caused with discharge and consumption of the liquid material. With those features, the liquid material can be prevented from adhering to the inner wall surface of the syringe, and the liquid material in the syringe can be prevented from flowing backwards.

Implementations of an applicator syringe are provided. In some implementations, the applicator syringe may be configured to dispense a lubricant from a dispensing needle thereof. In some implementations, the applicator syringe may be configured so that the plunger shaft and the dispensing needle are removable when not in use. In some implementations, when the applicator syringe has been disassembled, the dispensing needle may be stored within the barrel of the applicator syringe and the plunger shaft secured about the exterior of the barrel. In some implementations, the applicator syringe may comprise a barrel having a finger flange, a plunger positioned within the interior chamber of the barrel, a plunger shaft configured to urge the plunger forward, a dispensing needle that can be removably secured to the front end of the barrel, a removable cap, and a barrel plug.

The device is configured such that the spindle and the container are rotatable relative to each other to move the piston for dispensing the material. The piston and the spindle are adapted to anti-twist lock against each other in a first axial position of the piston relative to spindle. And in a second axial position of the piston relative to spindle the anti-twist lock between the piston and the spindle is suspended. This invention is a gun shaped device used in the application of caulk, paste and or other semi solid high viscosity fluids. The device contains a barrel portion for the tube to be inserted into, and a plunger portion with a flat round metal piece with a fitting that attaches to a set of shortened rods. The set of shortened rods acts as a plunger and goes through a guide toward the back of the handle. The barrel can be shortened for use of smaller tubes of caulk.
