An apparatus for dispensing a medium includes a cartridge in which a piston is movably receivable. An outlet is arranged in an outlet face of the cartridge for conveying the medium into a storage chamber of the cartridge. The piston includes a conveying side, a drive side disposed opposite the conveying side and at least one seal arranged at a side wall of the piston for providing a fluid-tight sealing between the piston and an inner cartridge wall. The cartridge includes a protrusion or a recess. The protrusion or the recess and the piston are arranged such that they can engage in such a way that, when the piston is arranged in a filling position, substantially no gas can be trapped between the outlet face, the conveying side of the piston and the seal facing the outlet face.

The device comprises a two-component cartridge comprising two internal spaces, two feed plungers shiftable in the internal spaces and bordering the internal spaces on a first side of the two-component cartridge, and at least two dispensing openings by means of which the internal spaces are open on a second side of the two-component cartridge that is opposite from the first side. The device further comprises a hollow cylinder that is made of a plastic material and has one front face that is open and one front face that is partially closed, in which is situated an axially mobile plunger that has at least two pestles attached to it, wherein the at least two pestles are oriented in the direction of the open front face, wherein the open front face of the hollow cylinder is arranged to axially touch against the first side of the two-component cartridge, and a connector for a compressed gas cartridge extends through an opening in the pressure vessel wherein a flap valve can be used to regulate the volume flow of the starting components through the dispensing openings, and whereby the flap valve is operable by means of a rod assembly of the paste application device, whereby the rod assembly is supported with a clearance of at least 0.3 mm in at least one direction that is perpendicular to the main direction.

Various aspects and embodiments are directed to a precision dispenser that is hand held and constructed and arranged to receive and release a variety of glue cartridges. In various embodiments, the adhesive cartridges include precision tips that provide, for example, flat even bead with little or no spill or drip. Other precision tips can be constructed and arranged for use with the precision glue gun. In some examples, the precision tips can be tailored to the specific adhesive contained in the cartridge.

Described are metering dispensers (10) having a body (100) configured to hold a flowable composition in a chamber, a drive screw (300) coupled to the body, and a plunger (400) threadingly coupled to the drive screw. The plunger includes at least two annular lips (416) that form a fluid seal with the chamber as the plunger travels along the drive screw through the chamber. A base (200) is rotationally coupled to the body with a cam (208) that contacts at least one tab (114) extending externally from the body so that the tab enters at least one low point (222) on the cam by traveling over a trailing edge (226) of the low point, and the trailing edge then prevents the tab from exiting the low point in the direction of the trailing edge.

A dispenser includes: a syringe body that has a filled space of contents, and has a discharge hole at a tip thereof; a plunger that is slid in the syringe body by application of a pushing force, to discharge the contents in the filled space from the discharge hole; and a piston that is formed of an elastic material and located at a tip part of the plunger, wherein a gap is formed between an inner peripheral surface of the syringe body and an outer peripheral surface of the piston, when the plunger is pushed, the piston deforms to narrow the gap, and a back leakage risk (=(gap area/final discharge hole area)) after the deformation of the piston is 0 or more and less than 1.

The spacers at least partially define a plurality of passages that fluidically connect the filling and pressurizing chambers and are configured such that a first portion of the viscous material extending from the filling chamber into the plurality of passages forms a seal together with the solid spacers to prevent a second portion of the viscous material located in the filling chamber from entering the plurality of passages.

The first cavity includes a first pasty cement component and the separate second cavity includes a second pasty cement component, two delivery plungers close the two cavities on the side of the cavities opposite the cartridge head. At least two cutting edges are disposed on the front side of the sleeve-shaped connecting means facing the cartridge head, such that the at least two cutting edges cut off the partition wall from the cylindrical inner wall of the cartridge as at least one cut-off strip when the delivery plungers are advanced towards the cartridge head in the cavities with the connecting means, and wherein the sleeve-shaped connecting means comprises a deflecting surface which is inclined to the axis of the connecting means which, on advancing the connecting means, presses the at least one cut-off strip of the partition wall towards the inner wall of the cartridge.
