GLUE GUN
Various aspects and embodiments are directed to a precision dispenser that is hand held and constructed and arranged to receive and release a variety of glue cartridges. In various embodiments, the adhesive cartridges include precision tips that provide, for example, flat even bead with little or no spill or drip. Other precision tips can be constructed and arranged for use with the precision glue gun. In some examples, the precision tips can be tailored to the specific adhesive contained in the cartridge.
Discharge device for paste-like materials with separately formed adapter for connecting a container to a base body
This invention relates to a discharge device of the dispenser gun type, which is suitable in particular for discharging semi-solid materials such as e.g. bone replacement materials. The discharge device comprises an adapter (400) which is removably attached to a main body (110) of the discharge device. A fastening structure for attachment of a container (300) is formed on the adapter substantially along a proximal direction (C) contrary to the feed direction (A). As a result various types of containers can be fastened to the machine without the need to change the mechanism of the device. The container can be provided on both ends with identical external threads and can be closed by closure caps in order to enable intuitive handling. In order to improve access to points which are difficult to reach, the container may be in the form of a curved pipe or may be formed flexibly. The piston rod (200) of the discharge device is then also formed flexibly.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR STORING AND MIXING BONE CEMENT
One aspect relates to a device for mixing a polymethyl methacrylate bone cement formed of two starting components and for storing the starting components of the bone cement. The device has a tubular cartridge with a cylindrical interior. A powder is contained in a front of the cartridge and a container containing a monomer liquid is arranged in a rear of the cartridge. A discharge piston is arranged between the container and the powder, and a conveying piston is on the side of the container opposite the discharge piston. The discharge piston and the conveying piston are arranged in the interior of the cartridge movably in the longitudinal direction. A conduit is provided that connects the front part and the rear part of the interior of the cartridge to one another in a manner permeable for the monomer liquid and for gases and which is impermeable for the powder.
Liquid dispensing syringe
A syringe for dispensing liquid materials to a substrate. In one embodiment, the syringe includes a barrel having a first end, a second end, and an interior reservoir. A piston is slidably disposed within the reservoir and is movable to increase or decrease a volume of the interior reservoir near the first end of the barrel. A first end of the piston has a hemispherically-shaped surface profile, with an elongated apex extending therefrom, to dispense liquid from the first end of the barrel when the piston is moved in a direction toward the first end.
Kit for adapting dispensers to dispense materials from flexible-walled containers
A kit for converting a gun-type sauce dispenser to dispense flowable materials such as sauces from flexible-walled containers comprises a nose piece, a dispensing tube and a supplemental piston. The nose piece has a forward end adapted to be attached to an end stop of the sauce dispenser. An opening extends axially through the nose piece. The nosepiece is adapted to be coupled to the dispensing tube such that the dispensing tube is held axially relative to the nose piece. A top sheet of a flexible-walled container may be retained between the nose piece and the dispensing tube. The nose piece may comprise a member arranged to tension the end sheet of the container.
Telescoping Syringe with One-Way Valve
A telescoping syringe suitable for use with medications and other flowable materials is presented. The telescoping syringe includes a one-way valve, a plunger, and a barrel. The valve includes a barrier, an outlet(s) through the barrier, and an annular extension extending from the barrier. The plunger includes an inlet(s) and a proximal wall fixed at one end of a first side wall. The valve directly contacts a distal end of the first wall so that an annular flange extending inward from the annular extension slidingly engages an annular groove along the first wall between first and second positions. The circumferential end of the first wall contacts the barrier in the first position to close the outlet(s). The circumferential end does not contact the barrier in the second position to open the outlet(s). A first reservoir is defined by the first wall, the proximal wall, and the valve. The inlet(s) permits gas to enter the first reservoir as fluid is transferred through the valve to a second reservoir. The barrel includes a second side wall with a nipple fixed to a distal wall at one end and an open end at another end. The plunger is extendable from and retractable into the barrel at the open end via slidable engagement between first and second walls. The second reservoir is defined by the distal wall, the second wall, and the valve.
MULTI-COMPONENT FLEXIBLE PACK DISPENSING MANIFOLD AND SYSTEM
A manifold assembly includes a manifold head and at least one piercing member. The manifold head includes a cap portion and a wall portion. The cap portion has an upper surface, a lower surface, and an inner edge that extends at least partially in a circumferential direction. The inner edge defines an opening that extends from the upper surface to the lower surface. The wall portion is coupled to the lower surface of the cap portion and has an inner wall surface that defines a channel. The at least one piercing member is coupled to the manifold head and extends in the circumferential direction along the inner edge of the cap portion and into the channel.
Paste application device for the mixing of a paste from two components
A paste application device stores two starting components, for mixing the starting components to form a paste and for the application of the paste. The comprises a two-component cartridge comprising two cylindrical internal spaces, two feed plungers that can be shifted axially in the internal spaces and limit the internal spaces on a first side of the two-component cartridge, and at least two dispensing openings by means of which the internal spaces are open on a second side of the two-component cartridge that is opposite from the first side, a hollow cylinder that is made of a plastic material and has one front face that is open and one front face that is partially closed, in which is situated an axially mobile plunger that has two pestles attached to it, whereby the pestles are oriented in the direction of the open front face, whereby the open front face of the hollow cylinder is arranged to axially touch against the first side of the two-component cartridge, and whereby the plunger closes in gas-tight manner against the internal walls of the hollow cylinder, whereby the two-component cartridge and the hollow cylinder are arranged in a pressure vessel, whereby the pressure vessel touches against the hollow cylinder or is situated at a distance from the hollow cylinder of at most 0.1 mm.
Squeeze-out dispenser
A squeeze-out dispenser for a container containing compounds is disclosed. In an embodiment, the squeeze-out dispenser features two plungers which are provided with a profile along their longitudinal extensions and a drive unit for the plungers with a drive meshing with the profile of the plungers. The profile of the plungers is formed by several through-holes spaced apart from one another at a uniform interval and passing through the plungers, into which through-holes engagements of the drive engage for advancing the plungers.
