A guide tool device for an optical fiber includes a body having an adhesive passage between a proximal end and a flat distal end of the body. The passage communicates an adhesive supplied at the proximal end to an exit opening in the distal end. Each of a pair of fiber guide channels extends from the body to guide an optical fiber when aligned inside the channel, for relative movement over the exit opening in the distal end of the body during use of the device. A connector fixed on the proximal end of the body in communication with the passage, mates with a connector at the distal end of a syringe containing the adhesive. When urged by the syringe, the adhesive flows through the passage and out the exit opening in the distal end of the body, thereby coating the fiber when guided over the distal end during use.

Telescoping syringe with one-way valve

A telescoping syringe suitable for use with medications and other materials is presented. The telescoping syringe includes a valve, a plunger, and a barrel. The valve further includes a barrier, an outlet(s) through the barrier, and an annular extension extending from the barrier. The plunger further includes an inlet(s) and a first side wall with a proximal wall. The barrel includes a second side wall with a distal wall at one end and an open end at another end. The plunger is extendable from and retractable into the barrel at the open end via slidable engagement between first and second walls. The valve directly contacts one end of the first wall so that an annular flange slidingly engages an annular groove. The valve and the barrel slidingly contact the plunger so as to open and to close the inlet(s) and/or the outlet(s). The inlet(s) in the open position permits gas to enter a first reservoir within the plunger as fluid is transferred from the first reservoir through the outlet(s) in the open position to a second reservoir within the barrel.

A STORAGE, MIXING AND DISPENSING DEVICE
20200164324 · 2020-05-28 ·

A device for storing first and second ingredient materials, mixing the ingredient materials to form an adhesive material and dispensing the adhesive material. The device comprises: a nozzle for dispensing the third material; a first container adapted to store a first ingredient material and mix the first ingredient material with a second ingredient material; a second container disposed within the first container, and moveable between a storage position in which a second ingredient material is stored in the second container and a mixing position in which the second ingredient material is moved to the first container; a mixer that longitudinally extends into the first and second containers; a handle alternatively coupled to the mixer to mix the first and second ingredient materials or to the second container to move the second container to a dispensing position to dispense the third material. During use, the first container is rotated causing the second container to move relative to the first container and the second material to flow into the first container for mixing. After mixing, the handle is uncoupled from the mixer and coupled to the second container to dispense the third material from the nozzle. Embodiments are also described herein for a method of making the device and a method of using the device.

INSTALLATION OF SMALL FORM FACTOR FIBERS AT USER PREMISES

A guide tool device for an optical fiber or cord includes a tool base that mounts on an adhesive syringe. A cord guide head has a flat leading edge, a key removably insertable into a keyway in the tool base, a guide channel for guiding a fiber toward the leading edge, and a tube for receiving an adhesive. An opening in the guide channel communicates adhesive from the tube into the channel, for applying the adhesive along a fiber while it is guided toward the leading edge on the guide head. A fitting is arranged to connect in sealing relationship with a distal end of the syringe, and a flexible tubing is connected between the fitting and the other end of the tube on the cord guide head. When urged toward the distal end of the syringe, the adhesive is communicated into the guide channel in the cord guide head.

Roof coating applicator

A disposable roof coating applicator includes a nozzle that is attached to a collar. The nozzle and collar are selectively attachable to a body that has an interior space and is formed by at least one side wall having an exterior wall and an interior wall. The coating applicator also includes a plunger that is movably disposed within the interior space of the body. The coating applicator may include a locking mechanism about the applicator's collar that selectively engages a stud provided on the body's exterior surface, selectively locking and unlocking the nozzle and collar assembly to the body. The disposable roof coating applicator is configured and otherwise designed to take in, store and transport approximately to 2 gallons of viscous material to a roof seam before neatly and uniformly expelling the viscous material to the seam or joint.

Applicators and accessories dispensing glue and other materials

Stands for glue and other applicators are described. The stand may include a seal that allows a user to place the applicator nozzle in the hollow interior of the receptacle without the cap without fear of the liquid in the nozzle clogging or drying out.

FLUID PRODUCT DISPENSING DEVICE
20200122173 · 2020-04-23 · ·

A fluid dispenser device having a body (1) with a dispenser orifice (2) and a perforator element (4), the body containing a reservoir (10) with at least two doses of fluid and having a proximal axial opening closed by a membrane (30) and a distal axial opening closed by a piston (20) to dispense one dose of fluid on each actuation. The reservoir is axially movable relative to the body between a rest position in which said perforator element does not pass through the membrane and a dispensing position in which the perforator element passes through the membrane. A perforator spring (6) is provided to urge the reservoir towards the rest position, and the membrane is adapted to close after each actuation, when said perforator element withdraws from the reservoir.

DISCHARGER AND METHOD OF DISCHARGING

A discharger includes a dispensing element and a housing. The housing has a static piston connected to the dispensing element at least in a fluid conducting manner. The static piston has a piercing tip and is arranged within the housing.
