An integrated functional electrical stimulation (FES) system includes a component of a mobility assistance device, and an FES system mounted within the component. The FES system includes an FES stimulator that is embedded within the component, and a plurality of FES jacks that are electrically connected to the FES stimulator and are located on the component. The FES jacks are configured to receive a plurality of FES electrodes, and an electrical stimulation output from the FES stimulator is conducted through the FES jacks to the FES electrodes. In a wireless embodiment, the FES stimulator is configured to wirelessly transmit a control signal for applying an electrical stimulation output to the plurality of FES electrodes, and the FES jacks are eliminated. The FES stimulator may be embedded within a back portion of the hip component of an exoskeleton device, and in the wired embodiment the FES jacks are located on wing portions of the hip component.
CONTROL OF SEXUAL STIMULATION DEVICES USING MOTION-SENSING CONTROLLERS
A system and method for controlling sexual stimulation devices using motion-sensing controllers. The system comprises a male sexual stimulation device and a motion sensing controller configured to control the operation of the reciprocating linear motion driver. In operation, natural motions of a user with the motion sensing controller result in corresponding motions of the male sexual stimulation device such as reciprocal linear motions and rotational motions.
WEARABLE BRAIN MULTI-STIMULATION PAIN CONTROL DEVICE
A wearable brain multi-stimulation pain control device is provided, comprising a main support unit, an auxiliary support unit, an audio stimulation unit, and an optical frequency-flashed stimulation unit. The main support unit includes two ear portions corresponding to a user’s ears and a front side portion, and the auxiliary support unit includes a mounting portion. Two opposite ends of the mounting portion are pivoted to the main support unit, and the audio stimulation unit includes two speakers that are respectively arranged on the ear portions and can broadcast a binaural beats with frequency following response. The optical frequency-flashed stimulation unit is arranged on the front side portion and can stimulate at least one eye of the user with flickering light, so that the user can obtain multiple stimulations at the same time in a single course of treatment to achieve the effect of improving pain.
VAGINAL HEALTH DIAGNOSTICS
A treatment system includes a treatment device adapted to contact a vulvar or vaginal tissue of a body and includes a treatment mechanism configured to apply a treatment to the tissue and at least one sensor configured to provide objective sensor data related to the tissue. An external device is configured to receive subjective information provided by a user or a third party and to receive the objective sensor data from the treatment device. The external device includes a processor configured to use the subjective information and the objective sensor data in a decision matrix to issue commands to at least the treatment mechanism that correspond to treatment instructions based on the subjective information and the objective data. The treatment instructions include instructions related to controlling the treatment mechanism and its application of treatment to the tissue and a treatment duration.
Method and device for improving brain function
Methods and therapeutic devices with noninvasive means for improving brain function and treating senile dementia including Alzheimer’s disease are described. The noninvasive means is selected from electrical stimulation, heat stimulation, IR (infrared) radiation or their combinations. In some embodiments, the method and device utilize electrical current passed through acupuncture sites on the human head to achieve desired therapeutical effects.
SYSTEMS FOR CLOSED-LOOP ULTRASOUND-IMAGING BASED CONTROL AND RELATED METHODS
Systems and methods for closed-loop ultrasound imaging-based control are described herein. An example system includes an ultrasound transducer, and a controller operably coupled to the ultrasound transducer. The controller includes a processor and memory, the memory having computer-executable instructions stored thereon. The controller is configured to receive an ultrasound imaging signal associated with a subject's muscular activity from the ultrasound transducer; process the ultrasound imaging signal to obtain a feedback signal; and control a device interfacing with the subject based on the feedback signal.
Automatic foot cleaner and callus remover
An automatic foot cleaner and callus remover is provided. Through the use of multiple flexible cleaning bands configured to scrub the heel and sole of a user's foot, as well as a toe cleaning mechanism, the automatic foot cleaner and callus remover is capable of cleaning the user's foot and removing any calluses on the user's foot. Optionally, the automatic foot cleaner and callus remover is filled with a liquid such as infused water to assist with the cleaning process.
Method and device for enhanced blood flow
A non-invasive method and device for promoting a localized change in a flow of blood through a blood vessel in a limb segment of a body by a series of electrically stimulated contractions of muscle tissue in the limb segment, the method including the steps of: (a) providing a device including: (i) first, second and third electrodes, each adapted to operatively contact the limb segment; (ii) a signal generator, operatively connected to the electrodes, adapted to produce a series of electrical impulses to the limb segment via the electrodes, and (iii) a control unit adapted to control the signal generator to produce the series of electrical impulses; (b) positioning the electrodes on the limb segment, wherein the first electrode is positioned on a lower end of the lower leg, the second electrode is positioned on the lower leg, and the third electrode is positioned on an upper end of the lower leg, whereby the first and third electrodes are disposed on opposite ends of the lower leg, and the second electrode and one of the first and third electrodes are disposed on a same end of the lower leg; (c) effecting a sequence of muscular contractions of the lower leg, by operations including: (i) applying a first electrical impulse between the electrodes on the same end of the lower leg to induce a first muscular contraction of a first portion of the tissue; and (ii) applying at least a second electrical impulse between the first and third electrodes to induce a longitudinal muscular contraction of a second portion of the muscular tissue; and (d) repeating operations (i) and (ii), to repeatedly induce the contractions, to effect the increased flow of blood.
